George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Manabouttown.
Please, are you posting all this tosh in order to try and boost your own confidence it does the opposite for me?
Every time I read a ramping post I begin to remember that when everyone climbs onto the boat it more often than not sinks.
Over the last ten years or so, numerous over-hyped AIM stocks have hit the wall, reading the stuff that you are posting reminds me of previous huge losses and I become very concerned as to the wisdom of this investment.
Please is there any chance of you desisting for a few weeks, it really would be so much more helpful than some of the stuff that you are currently writing.
With thanks and best wishes that it somehow works out for us all.
Why is it that the media go on about being able to get 1.4% here or 1.475% percent interest there when you can get a pretty much cast iron 6% on this little beauty, and it is traded on the main market?
Is it really likely that Gen Acc or Aviva is going to hit the wall and is it worth sacrificing 5% income per annum in order to recoup up to £80,000 or so of compensation in the event of a bank failure?
Obviously one should not put all the eggs in one basket.
Surely the Chinese will pay the money we are owed, it is a matter of when.
Perhaps they have reckoned that we will crash out of the EU at the end of the month and there will be a considerable slide in the sterling exchange rate.
If this is their view then why not wait a little and get a discount on this debt?
Seems rather obvious.
Watching2.
Please, on what grounds do you dismiss this as a rumour?
Looking at the shares trades over the last couple of days there have been some chunky blocks not least the last one on Friday. It will be interesting to see the opening price on Monday - and of course the close.
Of course, the whole thing could be a spoof, if it is then perhaps the company will make a statement so as to stop what could easily become a disorderly market.
ORLM
If this rumoured US listing takes place then there will possibly be a consolidation, 25 old shares for one new perhaps?
This has to take place as NASDAQ will not list shares under a certain value.
The shares of useless businesses always plummet consolidated or not, if we have a serious fall then I for one will top-up.
Far from this action being a negative it exposes us to a whole new set of investors and if we have JP Morgan behind us, bring it on!
A most interesting programme about Chinese intellectual property theft.
I would strongly urge shareholders to watch this on BBC I-player.
Perhaps it will go toward an understanding of the non-arrival of the Chinese money.
goupplease,
Thank you for your response.
Having just re-read the RNS concerning Dr. Muhunthan Thillai, it seems that he has been hired for his medical expertise, not his business experience.
I much agree with all else that you have written, particularly when you say that it will take a special businessman when it comes to selling 002.
Still wondering.
Question.
Are we all convinced that the management of this potentially billion pound business is strong enough to bring this venture home?
At the moment we are in a seeming situation of the business being a one-man show.
The personal strain must be tremendous particularly so with the sp now tanking for the reasons cited in the postings below.
Perhaps it is time to pull in an experienced CEO, someone with a great track record within the pharmaceutical industry who knows how to do deals, thus actualising potential , and also how to structure the company for the success we all hope for. Also, an experienced individual would be able to take the heat out of the situation by not raising shareholders immediate expectations too high.
Just wondering.
Investor 1111,
Most surely you are correct, the difficulty is that in practice every business sees it differently and often refuse to admit people to meetings whose name does not appear on the shareholder's register. Suggest you try it sometime.
To be maximise the chances of entry you need to put on a decent suit, tie, proper shoes, and look as if you belong.
The other point where you are possibly incorrect is that shareholder's votes are important, the financial press is littered with instances of shareholders forcing the boards of quoted companies to completely change direction.
Please remember that as a shareholder you are a joint owner of the business and as such you have rights.
You are of course correct when you say it's all about questions and further info.
Surely, even you can see that if the answers and info don't stack up then you and your fellow shareholders who think the same way are able to combine and use your votes to effect change.
It is pretty much the same as when you don't like your MP, you vote him/her out.
You, however, seem to be saying that votes are inconsequential.
Thank goodness for the diversity of thought, it keeps life interesting!
It would have been great to attend, however, since no-one these days has shares registered in their own names it takes extensive paperwork and fees to get hold of a document proving that one is a stockholder and thus entitled to ask questions and vote.
This is one of the still unaddressed downsides of 'big-bang' and it really is time that it is sorted out.
Thanks, cottoner, I take your point.
Even so, as a private investor handling family money I find that I have to deal with matters as they actually stand with of course potential future developments in mind.
I was taught that hope is for the church. A number of contributors on this site are truly dedicated to wishful thinking, and that is their chosen way.
At this moment we have a lot of eggs in one basket with Ebers, I have for the present entirely discounted the Chinese, that is until they pay-up.
We may well have other eggs that we have not yet been fully told about.
Surely it is important for us as shareholders to know the identities of the people behind Ebers Tech, the 'insider' shareholders must already have this information so why not everyone?
Please, is it unreasonable to want to understand who it is that we are actually doing business with?
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
Please does anyone happen to know exactly who the shadowy rich and well-connected individuals are that own Ebers Tech? It does seem that we have a lot of eggs in one basket, which is in itself fine. Surely it is important for all the shareholders to know the names of the people holding the basket. Perhaps if anyone is going to the meeting they will bring this up.
chablard, This appointment is as you allude, seriously good news. When noted 'heavy-hitter' scientific colleagues are prepared to join NFX it really is a professional affirmation of the business. It is no surprise whatsoever that at the moment the shares are up more than 15%, this is a good measure of relief. The last period has been somewhat torrid. Perhaps another dose of positive news will be given next week.
