LSE03 ref 15.07 post On looking at the list of Freeport sites I noticed that one of them is Plymouth and South Devon. As my geography is not very good I may be mistaken but is Appledore in South Devon. I am making enquires to see if Appledore will be covered by the freeport.

I wonder as the Entsha will be arriving about a month later than expected who will be liable if HARL incurs additional costs due to the delay. As an example if they have to rearrange work that has been booked in.

I just saw this as down for debate in the House of Commons on Tuesday 19.00 – Adjournment Debate –Essential life line ferry services and Fergusson Marine Engineering Ltd insolvency- Kenny MacAskill. This will last about half an hour it might be interesting to see what the Minister will say.

Having said that the most recent analysis I have seen shows that the assets exceed liabilities. It is worth noting that the asset figure was before asset purchases this year. Also the amount of work that is going through the sites that we know about gives a degree of reassurance that the cash resources would be able to be found.

I note what JW says about the government we have had a year of warm words, however, they do not pay the bills the government needs to match the warm words with action. If the national shipbuilding strategy is going to be unveiled during the budget debate then it will be either Monday or Tuesday. However I do not believe we will see any leaks in advance as Mr Speaker Hoyle is starting to get annoyed with the government for trailing announcements in the press.

I was just checking the traffic expected tab on the Belfast Harbour website and I noticed this shift not sure what to make of it BBD-SRQ. Can anyone think of a reaason why the Building Dock will be shifted around to the Ship Repair Quay?

oldtramp ref 09.45 post reading the piece it looks like the Lyonese Lady is unlikely to be going to Appledore as it mentions two preferred yards for that ship neither is Appledore.

TheEast ref 08.29 post perhaps you and BlairPeach need to get together and agree on terminology as in the pass he has objected to the use of the term revenue generating because HARL is not making a profit. I am not fussed about what term we use but can we agree on which it is.

Based on known income of £24m, (£9m stated in June Trading Update and £15m from Saipem contract taken from Cenkos briefing note.) and estimated income, (See my post Year End Post 2). As well as work on other vessels or fabrication contracts where there is no basis for estimating income. I am comfortable with predicting that HARL will meet or exceed its guidance figure of £30m in income for this year.

I am not sure how to calculate the P/E ratio but using a ratio of 10 then I would expect an increase in the SP to reflect a MCap of circa £100m by the time the accounts are published around June of next year. There is currently insufficient information to make an estimate on income for Y/E 2022. However I would expect it to meet or exceed income of this year on the basis that all of the Saipem 2 contract is awarded and executed in Y/E 2022.

Si_Derman ref 18.40 post I believe the current timetable for the NFS is the deadline for bids is this month and a decision is due by years end with a view to contracts being signed and work starting next year with completion around 2024/25.

Si_Derman ref 18.19 post The Entsha has been showing as moored there all month I cannot see it making much money stuck there. At least it is showing as the next port of call is Appledore so it is expected here.

Hopefully we will hear about the Isles of Scilly ferries soon as I thought the only issue was funding.
