I have just seen this document https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/quarterly-reports-on-intergovernmental-relations/intergovernmental-relations-quarterly-report-quarter-2-2021#levelling-up-the-uk . The one thing I noted that might be of interest is this sentence 'One example is the national shipbuilding strategy and plans to improve naval shipbuilding in the UK, where the Ministry of Defence will seek to ensure the best possible security and economic benefits for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.'

This would seem to imply that some work from the MOD will come to Northern Ireland as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy. I note that HARL has assets in three of the four parts of the UK with Wales being the exception. We have the Budget and Spending Review on Wednesday I would expect the details of the National Shipbuilding Strategy to come out on the day that Defence is debated which might not be until next week.

At the time I was expecting an issue of 1.5 million shares to meet the obligation under the purchase agreement. If that is the case the question is what happened to any shares not needed for the instalment? If they were cancelled causing a reduction in the shares in circulation surely this would need an RNS. Perhaps if anyone is going to the Investor Event next month they could ask about it.

The contract that was announced yesterday is interesting as I said because it was in the Black Sea. The potential for follow on contracts is high. If HARL was to get established in the area it could be very lucrative.
