Loosegoose ref 06.42 post does this refer to both work that has not started, as in the case of tenders where the contract has not been signed but the tender has been awarded, and work that has started but has not finished like a three ship order and only one ship has been done. I ask because you say longer term contracts but some of these may be for a few months is there a difference in treatment.

I have increased confidence that HARL will end the year in a breakeven position at worse. BlairPeach will probably be unhappy to hear that this is without taking account of any central government contracts. The basis for my confidence is the amount of work that has gone through the four sites that has been identified from the company social media posts or RNS information. As far as I can tell from these sources unless stated otherwise the following work has gone through or will go through the four sites this year is below. In addition the starting base is the amount of income that was stated in the June trading update that was £9m.

These are all the repairs I am aware of at either Appledore or Belfast and apart from the Saipem contract does not include any renewables work. I may have missed some.

Chrisatrdg/Lottie123 I am not sure if either of you know the answer to this. If at year end HARL has unfinished work how would this be accounted for in the year end accounts. Also if HARL is successful with either of or both the tenders they are bidding for how would these be accounted for in the accounts as the contracts are unlikely to be signed before next year and would the answer be different if the contract is signed this year.

VesselFinder is showing the Entsha as on route to Appledore so is due to arrive as planned next week. Not sure if this work would require deck strengthening. Secondly it raises the possibility of more work of a similar type.

I was reading Mark D'Arcy's Week Ahead in Parliament column on the BBC Website when I saw this for next week Thursday. And Labour's Admiral Lord West of Spithead asks about government orders for promised new ships for the Royal Navy. This question will be asked around 11. Lord West is a former First Sea Lord and Home Office Minister.

oldtramp ref 08.52 post I recall reading about these plans a while back. I think that what they intend is to offer a complete solution. I suspect that what they will do to encourage use of local business is say you can fabricate things at the local fabrication plant and then use the new deep water terminal to deliver them to the offshore windfarm. In case you want to know what evidence I have for this if you look at the plans for the energy hub it includes a new link road from Arnish fabrication plant to the deep water terminal.

I am sure that he has previously said no. If he is going to reconsider I think we should be told the rationale as I cannot see it at present.

I note that you have Samson and Goliath at either end of the Dorset Spirit. Does anyone want to hazard a guess at what is being done to it. Could it be deck replacement/strengthening?

I saw this article https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-58828308. It relates to an oil field and not gas storage. However it is what the Court says in its judgement about the consultation that is of interest https://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/search-judgments/court-of-session I am not sure if the regulations that apply in the IslandMagee application are the same but this decision would be helpful. It would not be binding on the Northern Irish Courts but is still persuasive.
