Does anyone think that there might be a large unreported trade. I ask because only £300 in value of shares reported as being bought while over £20k of reported sells. However the share price has not moved. I accept that some of the sells might be buys is that the only explanation.

A very interesting update in particular the contract in relation to the Hinckley C contract. Hopefully it will lead to more such projects. It is also worth noting that the recent energy security white paper called for more nuclear plants so this is an expertise that might come in more demand.

Oldtramp re 17.41 post yes definitely sounds like a good catch and he has worked at Arnish before. Has an impressive black book of contacts. Hopefully not long before he gets a contract or two in.

Lottie123 ref 16.36 post It would seem that Price was probably the main part of the tender. I have sat on tender panels and price was only a fifth of the points available on the tender. Of more important were capacity and capability as well as financial resources. I cannot see how Lamprell can properly manage the contract from the UAE.

It brings to mind last December's general meeting when I started to broach this topic JW shut down any discussion as he was not going anywhere near the matter. I suspect that this project was in mind when Arnish was bought. If I recall the Masterplan a new link road will be built going from Arnish to the new Deep Water Terminal. I suspect that potential customers will be told that they had have materials fabricated at Arnish then taken direct to the terminal on the nice new link road.

Lottie123 ref 08.35 post If Lamprell have capacity constraints which would prevent them completing the contract how/why were they awarded a contract they could not do? That sounds like a recipe for disaster when they fail to carry out the contract. I note what AlbertoZ says in his/her 08.30 post but it seems strange to use a contractor in the UAE who would then use Scottish sub contractors. It raises the question of where final build will be.

Si_Derman ref 19.44 post you make a fair point. My reasoning is that there must have been a reason why the first event was held at Appledore. I wonder what inducement was given to have the event there both events could have been held at Petroc.

The number of leases around Scotland is such that if a couple go overseas it would not be an issue. I would start to get worried if this becomes a trend.

If I was a betting man I would not be surprised if after the JR is disposed off there was not an application for the storage of hydrogen. I am not sure how much land IslandMagee Energy owns so I am not sure if the current number of caverns is the maximum number of caverns that can be created.

It would seem that the Queen Victoria has previously been in an English port having stopped at the Port of Tyne. LSE03 ref 14.13 post very interesting with Appledore on the doorstep and being the host of the first event it looks like Appledore might be in prime position for some of the fabrication contracts. With the recent suction piles contract and the pontoon it certainly will be able to evidence its capability to handle the work.

Tonno1944 ref 11.38 That is a good question. It certainly would not hurt. The decision on the drydocking for the Queen Elizabeth Class of carriers is one of the contracts on the overdue list. There are not that many docks that can take the carriers.

AlbertoZ ref 10.44 post I wonder if the June Investor Event at Belfast will include a look at the Aurora which would still be in dry dock?

Jabido ref 07.25 post I agree it might be commercial confidentiality but the BoD in my view still needs to shrug off the suspicion of pump and dump. Part of this is the fact that it only seems to put contract values on RNSs in the run up to a placing. For this reason some indication of contract value needs to be given on all contract RNSs. I am not saying the actual figure but a circa figure.

The RNS this morning is not the RNS I suspect most of us where hoping for. It is light on the most important factor from a market perspective in that it says nothing about how much HARL will be making from this contract. I believe that the Aurora has been in Belfast before but it was never clear why. Hopefully we will get more news and with values attached. Although the only times that values have been mentioned has been shortly before a placing.

Just seen this from the NI Ferry website https://www.niferry.co.uk/stena-line-temporary-fleet-adjustments-to-cairnryan-and-cherbourg-routes/. It would be interesting to see if the Foreteller does its Dry Docking in Belfast rather than in Birkenhead.
