Biker888 ref 12.50 post the only problem with voting the BoD out en masse is that you would need people to replace them. So this should only be doe if you have replacements ready to go. Does anyone have any contacts with the major shareholders or institutional investors who can sound them out as such a move would need their support to succeed.

LSE03 ref 12.54 post Is the Belfast Harbour Commissioners going to do something similar to stop Northern Ireland being left behind. We have the Stronoway Deep Water Terminal which Arnish is well placed to exploit but Belfast is not receiving the same degree of support.

According to the Belfast Harbour website which I have just checked the Queen Victoria will be arriving at SRQ on 26 April shifting from D1C. This is earlier than advised in the Contract Win RNS. Also showing is the Bella Vita which is showing as berthing in OQ from 27 - 28 April. The interesting thing about the Bella Vita is that while there are a number of vessels with that name they are all Pleasure Craft, Sailing Vessels or Yachts. I do not believe we have any of those in Belfast recently. The other noteworthy thing is that the size is well within the capability of Appledore. I presume that Appledore is full.

I have just seen the resolutions for the AGM. Of particular note is resolution 13 which would authorise a 10 for 1 share consolidation. I will be voting against this resolution as I have yet to see such a consolidation that works for shareholders. I will also be voting against the resolution seek authority for a share buy back for the same reason.

Due to prior engagements which will keep me in London so I am unable to attend the AGM which is a pity as I could do with an excuse to go to Jersey. If anyone is going can they press the board on whether a dividend can/will be paid once the 2022 capital programme costs are covered. If my wonky maths is correct with oil prices remaining on an average of $100 a barrel a day the 2022 capital expenditure programme costs should be covered by the end of Q2 so a dividend payment is arguably possible.

Just seen this from NI Ferry https://www.niferry.co.uk/stena-line-fleet-update-19-march-2022/ Worth noting what it says at the end about Stena Horizon. When read with my 18.43 post yesterday it shows that HARL are doing quite extensive work to the Stena Horizon. With luck this might position in good place should an overhaul may be needed on any of the Stena Line fleet.

This work was carried out on the stena Horizon and is still ongoing both shafts have now been put back in

I doubt that this work would be given to a shipyard unless there was confidence that the work could be done by specialist team.

I see a very strange affair. Malcolm Grant has been appointed as a NED of what has become a Cash Shell and therefore has to do a reverse takeover within the next six months. As this company has some difficulties I wonder if Mr Grant would have the capacity to discharge his duties to both companies.

While not conclusive I note that the week ahead bulletin does not show EQT among the companies announcing results this week. It is possible that the results may come out this week but it currently does not look like it will be this week.

According to current information on the Belfast Harbour page there will be a brief period when both the Stena Forecaster and the Stena Foreteller will be both berthed in BBD. Then Stena Forecaster will shift to Blough before resuming service from VT2 on the 19th. Stena Foreteller is scheduled to move from D1C to BBD on 17th.

Si_Derman ref 20.28 post I forgot is Cammell Laird not part of Team UK which is bidding for the FSS contract? If Cammell Laird is perceived as to be unreliable when it comes to delivering on contracts this might make it harder to win contracts. The year ahead might be very interesting.

oldtramp ref 18.55 post This failure by Cammell Laird after the Sir Richard Attenborough problems may impact on their ability to win Navy Contracts. In that case HMG may have to use HARL as there would be no choice. The most immediate project is the National Flagship which Cammell Laird was bidding for.

RazorShultz ref 12.02 post I think there are trust issues the BoD has largely bought them on themselves. For the last 18 months more or less every time there is a placing we are told about imminent contracts which are yet to appear. Also the spin on the RNLI contract was not likely to convince anyone on the BoD's probity. Why do you think I check all dockings at Belfast the BoD needs to inspire and regain trust not assume they will have it.
