The job of CEO here has mostly been about trying to sell the stock narrative to investors in one way or another rather than actually being able to sell a product.

I had previously thought they would have said something about finance before now. It makes me think that the situation is more dire than even I reckoned. IIs just are not interested in investing in AIHL. If you think about when they had proper II investors here, they had the hepatitis assay, and subsequently hopes around COVID as well. But all that's gone. Perhaps strategy now is to try to drum up interest off the back of the stroke product. But to do that, they probably need to wait until after the "final" NICE report is published, even if it's just saying "we need data on x y and z to be produced." If that's the case they may delay the final results until December. I believe they allowed to delay publication right up until end of December anyway.

All you need is a calculator and about 5 minutes to work out that GDR currently has just £1.5m in the bank and cash burn of 400k per month. You should definitely go back and study the RNSs Trev.

Roger, All I can think is the next CEO is trying to get some mainstreamish investors on board. If you think back when they had proper IIs in place for the long haul pre covid. So my guess is he's started doing presentations around the city to get people like that back on board. I expect current shareholders are going to get seriously diluted though, even at current low share price level. I think they need to get proper long term IIs back on board, because it is a long term proposition this, and more hoops to jump through for sure.

JB, They tend to revisit things every 3-4 years. It means the final report of this cycle. Personally, don't expect it will get full recommendation this time around. I think more likely they will say "collect more data and then we'll reevaluate in a few years from now."

Some people here are still mystified by the hurdles and time it takes to get market access for these kinds of things i.e. sell. So they start to say oh "it must be a fraud" or "sales are around the corner". But neither is true. Just a long waiting game for more and more data generation until one of the regulators/authorisers gives it the green light for real.

This time next year there might be people here dreaming of 3p...

Fair comments from bighammer. The stroke product is actually in a more standard review process. (AIHL on the other hand ended up in an unusual "EVA" process that actually could only result in a type of conditional recommendation.) My understanding is that the stroke product could actually be fully recommended first go. But this is theoretical "could". I agree with bighammer, gut feeling is probably it won't get full recommendation first time round as NICE seems so....demanding for want of a better word. my other feeling is that the new CEO is quickly ending behind the moving narrative as it were i.e money fast running out.

I think it might end up like Tomco. Remember trading that share some years ago and was lucky enough to make a really good profit on volatility when it was moving up to about 8p. that stock now trades at 0.07p....

Yes, Chai, great potential here if GDR can raise another £15-£20m within the next 4 years and get commercial market access for these two products virtually everywhere. I'm sure they're going to be saying something about funding very soon. I'll be surprised if it's not before the end of October. Otherwise, they would be leaving the funding announcement until around the time of the results. By mid-November they'll only have about £1.4m left in the bank, so doubt they'll wait that long.

Bighammer, to get adopted by NHS, anything has to be reviewed and accepted under a particular code. Once the data gathering has been completed it will be assigned a new code and there'll be a completely new review, with separate committee stages. If it gets through all that, AIHL will be adopted through the NHS and GDR will have 5-6 million in "guaranteed" income a year, plus the likelihood that it will be adopted all over the world! Otherwise, if they say no, it will all have been for nothing

Sounds like you're all moving closer to reality. but unfortunately, you can't assume that the NHS will adopt AIHL even after the 3 year data-gathering process has been concluded. then they will look at the whole thing again and make a decision after another 6-12 months....

Back of envelope rough calculations on my part, I think RF now has raised the loan amounts that they gave GDR. (they still have warrants though)

perhaps this means they will now agree to let GDR start doing monthly drawdowns again despite the share price being under 16p. if my guestimate is correct, it could also mean GDR has more flexibility now to look at other funding options (i.e placings) if RF don't agree to the drawdowns. we'll see.

Yes, Jimi, exactly. This is just RF trying to get the money back for the original loan....GDR can't borrow more money from them at the moment as share price below 16p.

If the share price rose another 62% then they'd be able to do another drawdown and funding wouldn't be such an immediate worry. if only...
