Maybe with funding they'll be able to get start getting decent sales in the US in about 18 months from now? (FDA approval process (including trials on US soil) is likely to cost at least £2m ) but then they also have the 400k per month cash burn to cover. Bottom line is they probably to raise about £10m ish minimum to see them through to breakeven point/early profitability

GDR need to receive full NICE guidance recommendation so it will be universally available at all NHS trusts (all 208 neonatal units)., and so they'll get central health department funding to do provide it. This year Nice drew up plan for 3 more years of data collection, before they'll then review AIHL once again to make a final decision. Going by previous NICE processes its likely that it will be 6-12 months after the data collection stage when NICE makes its decision. So 2.5 years + 9 months to go before you get the big green light for mass adoption in UK.

Share price action of past few weeks is good from the point of view of getting a fund raise pushed through by shareholders. You don't want shareholder register dominated by people that have been here ages with high averages. To me this was one of Budd's fears earlier this year, and probably a reason why he went for the death spiral rather than a straight forward placing (immediately dilutive). Obvious thing to me now is that 5p is the new 7-8p. 5p ish is the new lower supporter level for this share.

Lol Mik, you were ramping this when it was in the 20s so you must feel bitter. I still plan to invest post-placing in January, whatever price that's at. As I said, very difficult to say. If it can stay at this sort of level by then maybe the placing will even by as high as 6p.

Maqsood, I think you looking at the cash balance as of 30 June. As of 30 November, they had about £1.2m.

I don't think placing will be as low as 1p though. Market cap is very low already. But IIs always want a discount don't they.

It's impossible to say Gloria where placing price will be. It could be 5p, 6p, 1p. or 0.5p. Let's hope the enthusiasm of PIs starts to be matched by real IIs come January. (If it's too low GDR risks shareholder revolt, so they need to get some more positive news out over the next few weeks to get the best price possible).

For once kind of agree with you System. I think each new hospital that signs up in the UK (outside Manchester area) raises the chance that NICE will give the big thumbs up. But they did say 3 years of data collection before that happens. Maybe another 2.5 years to go of that, and then another 9 months for NICE to do all its committee meetings. This is one reason why GDR needs to go for FDA and US commercialization ASP. Investing in GDR bond to be quite attractive if/when they get placing sorted in January IMO. But not now unfortunately. You can bet your life it will be a placing at a significant discount but difficult to say exactly what that'll be.

They all have their own separate institutions and processes. But they all work very similar to UK NICE. What does vary is amount or private care though. Much greater proportion of women have babies in private hospitals in Spain for example, versus UK, so could be scope for quicker adoption there would think. Depending on what the Spanish health insurers decide.

Not in significant quantities Bighammer. They need full NICE-type approvals to do that throughout Europe. But there's bound to be the odd early adopter, especially given you have a large private sector in countries like Spain. I expect it will be just very small in Europe and UK for a few years. One hospital only adds £50k in revenue. My view is that they have the greatest chance of achieving significant sales traction in the US first.

Sounds as though at least one hospital in EU will be signing up soon. But reality will hit in early 2024 when they go for the fund raise. Bitter sweet.

Well another 2 hospitals in Europe adopting would be another £80-100k in revenue per year. It's the kind of slow progress I expect at this stage. If they achieved FDA approval that would change things though in my view, with much greater sales traction.

So that's about £40,000 more in additional revenue per year. lol. It is a good sign though that another hospital has adopted outside Manchester. This will help with the fundraising discussions., just on sentiment basis really.

Franky, how do you work out that only £1.5m is needed though? That's a mere 3-months of cash burn. Lol. I'm thinking a minimum of £7m, which would give them £2m to fund FDA and a cash runway for about a year on top.
