I feel the meeting between The British Chambers of Commerce and ARSO was fundamental in getting a diplomatic resolution to the permits issue. I believe they will now be forthcoming, as long as the amendments from AST and Geoterm, this week, are acceptable. They should be as AST and Geoterm should be fully up to speed now with what is required of them.

Proven gas in the ground and wells already drilled just needing re-opening and yet some on here are so pessimistic? There are many AIM companies drilling for oil and not yet successful (88E, UKOG, etc.) where investors are willing to pile in. Here we have gas and wells that just need re-opening or stimulating. Why the extreme pessimism? The SR will bring in partners. They will be attracted by the proven gas and existing wells. Money for old rope.

Trees re-leaf every Spring hulie. But you are keeping us on our toes. Not that we need it now. We all know what is going on with AST. Some just like to embellish their imaginations.

Yet again hulie it's all been said before. The SR was started last April with Colin saying it could take many months to complete. The participants knew the situation, especially after accessing the 'data room'. They're still there.

When the permit situation dragged on the British Chambers of Commerce got involved, quite possibly under pressure from certain share holders. Colin has been a little too careful when dealing with the Slovenian government departments. Not wishing to damage relations with them he has in fact gone too far in the direction of not doing enough.

The meeting with the Chambers of Commerce produced a major step forward and the permits should be forthcoming after the amendments required from Geoterm are sent in next week. The SR participants know all of this and are just waiting to ensure the expected outcome is also forthcoming.

By all means look on the minus side of the position as well but don't continually ignore the positives.

Good job it's just your opinion then Alwaysup. An offer at less than 1p would be refused by the BoD and voted against by share holders. It's where we are now and the BoD would then continue alone with a gas field worth in excess of £200 million and share holders voting for a placing to fund the re-opening of wells and stimulation of PG10 and PG 11a.

They have spent over £50 million so far. To accept a figure equivalent to an MCap of £20 million so close to accessing the £200 million gas field would be ludicrous.

An offer will not come in until everything is tied up to the satisfaction of the offeror. That is likely after Geoterm have put in their amendments to ARSO (next week) and they have a definite indication that ARSO are going to abide by their assertion, after the meeting with the British Chambers of Commerce, that they will issue permits. This is not playground stuff.

INA don't need the IPPC but they do need permits to re-enter wells.

I think the market has been bitten too many times by false dawns here. The SP will move up but the market needs convincing.

He could be very helpful as he has a good knowledge of the company. However he chooses to continually slate the company. It would appear he has a massive problem with their history and more than likely has lost money. Why else would anyone be so biased, not seeing anything good, and not take a balanced view? The company could go completely wrong for sure. The SP is evidence of the lack of confidence. But look where things should go now. The only really bad point for investors would be if Slovenia decide to break all their and European laws and takeover AST Slovenia without any compensation. Is that really likely? Colin and Clive have made sure the contracts are good between AST and the JV partners.

That was an interesting exchange of posts between TPT and reso. History can tell us many things about the present and what may happen. In this case the previous CEO departed a long time ago. Colin took over as CEO and has achieved a fair amount to progress AST against considerable head winds. Clive has helped with his knowledge of the City. I presume Cameron Davies has helped, in the background, with oil and gas issues. That is not clear as he doesn't feature in AGMs or elsewhere. It appeared to be a rather nauseating contest about who knows more history.

What most need to know is where this is going now. And the evidence looks pretty good. It's messy but the ducks are getting in a row. Not really sure why reso wants to convince us otherwise although I have a good idea. There are some who have an ego that wants to feel respected as the leader of the pack, even if they are completely anonymous. Strange but true.

I'm surprised the reaction to the SP has been so minimal. Still at around 1.42p.

I don't go in for ramping or de-ramping. I just look at the facts. I didn't sell on the spike to 1.20p. I rather thought it was the start of the rise to a more sensible level for where AST should be with the gas field and wells just needing re-opening. So I missed that one.

I suppose the various Geo's and Nafta Lendava have expertise. We haven't seen a lot of evidence of it. AST certainly need funding. I've not seen evidence of that either from the various Geo's, etc., although they would probably say that is what AST are for.

Also Redmoor assay results expected shortly after last Wednesday's encouraging RNS.

AST are in dire need of two items:

1. Funding.
2. Oil and gas expertise.

The SR should have companies with both of those attributes available for AST . Continuing with the current lack of both will put AST at considerable risk in the short term and may only provide any benefit in the very long term, years. In the meantime the SP will stay at it's very low figure as investors drift away and the continued situation could result in the demise of the company as many feared after the RNS of 6th August. AST needs help and it needs it now.
