I am genuinely concerned. The two examples I give of poor RNSes are multiplied over the months and years. Many a time what should have been a good RNS went down like a lead balloon because of errors, timing issues or lack of optimism backed up with facts. AIM is renowned for poor reactions to good news but AST have made an unfortunate habit of it.

Nebulous advice really reso. Any AIM companies out there that instill you with confidence?

I am extremely concerned at the way news is disseminated in RNSes from Ascent Resources. The RNS of 10th September informed the market that Geoterm had submitted their amendments on 4th September. Why the delay with such crucial information? The amendments for the permit applications are extremely important.

The initial RNS of 20th September for the Interim Results had completely incorrect information implying that further amendments would be required. Shares were sold on the basis of that and the share price did not recover back to it's previous value after the correction was issued. That meant a few less millions of market capitalization, all because of a silly error.

It is expected that the permits will shortly be granted by ARSO before the end of September. The timing and content of the RNS for that will be crucial for the company. I hope you make sure an RNS comes out as soon as possible and with an optimistic tone to encourage investment in the company.

The RNS informing the market of the amendment submission by Geoterm on Tuesday 4th September came out on Monday 10th September. You might think they would want to inform the market asap, but no why not wait nearly a week? The next RNS we all know about for the Interim Results with a correction later. Many sold some shares on the first RNS. I did as I thought the SP could drop even more on that RNS. Then it was corrected because someone emailed them with a query. Absurd. And the SP didn't return to it's previous level. So another few million of MCap dropped due to that mess up.

By-passing the reso dross - the lack of FOMO is most probably due to the appalling way the company has managed the news flow. I dread to think how and when they will release the information about the permits. Their ability to write accurate RNSes is derisory.

The previous appellant kept on appealing until the Court realised their game and called them out as vexatious. Any new appellant would have to have a cast iron different case for the Court to accept any appeal now. The previous appellant had tried all the possible avenues and the Court should be wise to it now. It could happen but it is so much more unlikely now. Political interference is another thing though and could happen to create legal problems on spurious environmental grounds. That would come from politicians under Russian influence concerned with reducing Russian gas imports.

Continual haranguing of posters on here really doesn't make any sense. Opinions based on the facts can be discussed but personal attacks don't even make any sense.

This Wednesday is the last Wednesday in September. Things appear to be happening in Slovenia and ARSO are supposed to issue the permits by the end of September. We should have some good news this week some time. Or it may come next week. We had a late RNS on the Geoterm amendments which were submitted on a Tuesday and not RNSed till the following Monday.

Who's recommending reso on that post? He's been posting ridiculous comments all weekend long. Who cares what he thinks of us?

Many on AIM take a very short term view. They're not interested in prospects for the future, no matter how good. When those prospects start to actually happen they then jump in. Cobre needs to get it's client back. That would boost the SP.

Fat finger trouble: AST and partners had previously had the IPPC up till April 2016. Therefore both ARSO and AST and partners had experience of each other and the permit application procedure from before.

TPT, Your point directed at me implies that AST (Colin) has nothing to do with the applications for permits with it all coming from Geoterm / Geonergo and their consultants. The recent required amendments alone show that to be false. Two amendments were required. The first from AST, and RNESed as submitted on time, and the second from Geoterm, also RNSed as submitted on time.

AST most certainly have input with the applications and subsequent amendments. If AST and their JV partners had got their act together to start with amendments would not be required as all would have been dealt on the initial application, unless ARSO had not been clear with what they required. Your posts are helpful but often imply that all is neat and tidy with AST. It isn't.

Colin and Clive have shown competence in getting things done normally and with lateral thinking. However there have been glaring errors which have been extremely frustrating. Not checking the latest RNS thoroughly is one of them. Even the correction RNS didn't move the SP back to where it was before the first RNS. A drop in the SP of 0.1p, from 0.85p to 0.75p, reduces the MCap by £2.25 million. That is significant. It shows the lack of confidence this causes with certain investors.

Having a tantrum in the 6th August RNS was also very unprofessional. There was no need to state the problem with not having the vote to allow a placing. Simply stating the BoD understood shareholders concerns and would be confident of getting a vote for a placing as long as they had a clear and sensible reason to do so was all that was needed.

These errors in writing RNSes concern me as they could be carried over in paperwork errors for the permit applications and amendments. They have also led to extreme frustration with shareholders and many have sold up and moved on. We have lost many names from this board over the previous months.

It doesn't need the MMs to scare people. Just another RNS like yesterday's will do that.

Yesterday was an appalling performance with the RNS. Reso made the comment that it would cost AST extra to bring out a second RNS. That is nothing compared to the millions in the reduced company MCap on the 20% drop in the SP on the back of the first RNS. It didn't fully recover on the second one, leaving the company worth even less than it had before the first RNS. Interesting to see where we get to today. The company has the ongoing problem of the lack of investor confidence. The RNS debacle yesterday is not going to help that.

Also from the interview Colin says that they 'sat down with ARSO and went through the (amendment) questions with them'. That would indicate to me that they did in fact have direct help from ARSO to ensure the questions were answered correctly. That should bode well for the applications now to be accepted.

The result of that simple error has been a million or so knocked off the MCap. They really need to use a language expert, cunning or otherwise.
