Indeed. After the frustration of the two RNSes we still have the situation where ARSO have had three Wednesdays to peruse the amendments. They are sticking to their normal schedule of getting things done. Yawn.

By the way I see my other post was erased. Someone thought it a little rude, linguistically? Can't think why.

And rumours on Twitter are always right aren't they? Yeah right. They can take off though.

Still just the two buy trades only. If the MMs want to make some money they need to narrow the spread. Some money would be better than none at all. I would not have thought that stifling the market after that RNS is a good move.

The spread doesn't help either.

A couple of small buys only this morning though. After PW's confident podcast yesterday we may have expected more interest. As he, and his Redmoor engineer, said maybe they need some more information to the market as the results were so good.

AIM investors have a very short view. Redmoor is some time away, no matter how good the prospects. Cobre is the issue right now for the SP. Everything else is all good, but some way in the future. AIM therefore not interested except that SML is a good steady company to be in.

Colin and Clive clearly show their frustration with the process. We have a country importing vast amounts of gas at great expense and here we have a proven gas field right under them. There appears to be a communication issue as ARSO keep returning with more amendments required. Surely the best solution would be to have a member of ARSO go along to to help out with the requires amendments? Not enough staff, I hear? They really can't find someone who can ensure these amendments are submitted correctly when they have such a gas field right there which will reduce their gas costs so significantly? Really?

Next Wednesday is the last Wednesday in September. To conform to their promise to the B.C. of C. ARSO would have to have made their decision by then at the latest and with a couple of days to spare for them to reach their ultimate limit of the end of September. They are not just up against Colin at AST now, it's also the B.C. of C..

They have had the final amendments from Geoterm for three Wednesdays now. A promise of a final decision by the end of September should have allowed for some room to manoeuvre. Therefore a decision today would be reasonable to expect. An RNS tomorrow morning? Not unreasonable to expect.

We are in a better climate now compared to that previous to the meeting between ARSO and the B.C.of C. in August.

There is a lot of benefit to AST to inform the market ASAP as that would benefit the MCap of AST. Interested parties in the SR would already have been informed of all the facts. That is what the SR is for.

If some were selling on the morning spike with a view to buying back in on the drop it would be a lot of risk for very little possible profit, looking at the selling and buying prices.

As always the small profit brigade jump in and sell on the morning SP spike. Some people can only think for the day.

Lighten up EC. ARSO are not just up against Colin on this. They also have to justify their position to the B. C. of C. and they have a much greater influence, even if it is just little Britain.

I would agree about the patience point. I've been in here since just after the Cadogan debacle and get a little miffed when posts on here urge 'patience', however true it may be.

Not sure ARSO receiving an avalanche of emails is a good idea as government departments worldwide don't respond well to that. Colin knows that and has erred on the over cautious side. The B.C of C. would have had the diplomatic approach to hopefully embarrass ARSO into not taking the passive aggressive approach.

Not kowtowing has been the issue previously. I think not wanting to lose face after their promise to the B.C. of C. would be more significant. It could be the normal bureaucratic and admin process that is gone through to issue these permits. It could also be that AST and / or Geoterm have not submitted the amendments correctly or to the extent ARSO needed. I hope not as they have had plenty of practise to get this right.

Correct rxdav. Bradis's question is moot. Although I understand they do.

Government committees meet on certain days of the month. The committee members will have other duties on other days. So their other duties could prevent it. Decisions could be made known on other days as they will have to go through an admin process after a decision is made. Government wheels grind very slowly, unless the politics requires otherwise.

They took a punt on IW2 and it didn't work out. If it had they would have got a high return for a small investment. Now it needs a bit more thought.
