RE: Why rns today?11 Sep 2018 08:08
I did wonder why the RNS came out on Monday when the amendments were submitted last Tuesday. Maybe it was because they wanted to get out the other information at the same time. I also see reso's point about the three week shut down not being news to the BoD. This dissemination of information has historically been poor from AST. They may say it is annual maintenance and therefore should be a known factor. But shareholders should be informed even if it is a regular occurrence. We would not necessarily know the annual maintenance arrangements of a third party company.
I tend to put these points in to the cockup and money saving category though, where it is cheaper to put it all in the one RNS. Reso clearly puts them in the conspiracy category. My reasoning for the former category is that Colin tends to get things done eventually in the way he says he will and appears to be moving the company along in the best way possible, although reso may well think reso could do better.
The difference between me, others and reso is that we are balanced and view all points whereas reso only sees the downsides. Frankly if you only see downside why bother looking at AST at all?
