I'm back in @ £2.34, as stated previously I was hoping for sub 230 but it's getting a bit close to the next announcement and I bottled it, sure it will drop through the resistance now FFS
Good luck all S
It's only the dividend payment date, what makes you think thsts something people will reinvest for? For transparency I'm completely out sold everything the day the buy back end was announced, waiting for sub 230 or some reason / news to buy back.
S
Happy to be corrected, just pleased someone is counting, keep up the good work NM

For what it's worth (which isn't much) I think buy backs will be reintroduced but this time they'll be kept rather than cancelling, ready for future use. As they passed a resolution at last AGM to allow that. The reason I think the price will drop is they never run consecutively. Even if they announced the next lot when this lot finish it seems to take a couple of weeks to come into force and that's a lot of days of dropping.
S
Wouldn't bother personally. Think there's a fair way to drop yet especially with only 1 week of buys backs left and the shorters increasing. if you buying with a 6mth / 1 year plus timeline I don't think you can lose at these prices but think you be able to get them even cheaper in a couple of weeks. Personally I was hoping to sell out my isa shares on next push up before the buy backs finish but guess I'm just holding them for the ride now! Great plans and all that.

I have no special information, just looking at the evidence gleaned from 3 years in this share, I wish a I had researched who Eig had sold to when they were allowed to sell down from 37% to 15% to fund there new oil investments. they had to finish that tranche by march this year, but I didn't realise then they had sold a massive bunch to noble. That info would have saved me from tens of thousands of paper loses wiping out most of my 21/22 profit! Noble had to be rescued in 2018 I think, by several investment funds 1 being taconic, then in 21 the basically took control, if I would have known one of our biggest shorters control the shares being sold to market I would have just kept this one on my watch list till the shorts reduced.

I have no idea how many they own now, I would speculate they are one of the firms providing all the shares our buy back is consuming, but as they know we're only buying 500k a day they don't have to sell many extra to drive price down. Or BOA do. Personally I can't see this carring on much longer once we're debt free institution investors will return in my opinion and shorts will have to close,
S
I know I sound like a broken record but this will only go up and stay up when those shorts reduce or disappear. Taconic control Nobel, Nobel control 80m of harbour shares from last year = Taconic know how many shares left to sell wouldn't surprise me if BOA was involved also. This will go back down to new lows where I will be buying more ready for the next pump and dump.

Great thanks Mike, personally I expect news before that so no idea what the motivation is.
Thanks again

Has anyone kept up with how much has been spent / how much is left in the buy back? As last time we plummeted when it ended. I have not, so just curious, this might explain the increasing short, if their hoping to make a killing between the end of the buy back and next good news?

Manipulation same as every other time, next couple of days they'll sell a load drop the price and cash in there shorts then repeat. Until HBR decide to buy more than the daily 500,000 or our seller drys up it will continue. Our only hope is massive news, or sit and wait eventually our true worth will he shown.

AQR Capital Management, LLC, have a 0.51% short. purely speculation on my part but as there position hasn't change I guess they've been dragged into the declaration due to the shrinking amount if shares, not by taking out a new short position.

Thanks Sekforde
It was resolution 20, basically says once approved they can decide in future buy backs to keep in treasury to use later or cancel,.
Just seems really strange to me that HBR are buying roughly the same amount of shares everyday, like it's a prearranged deal to let someone out whilst driving the price lower. In previous buy backs that have only been limited by the 5% average our SP has gone up.
S
Hi Sekfoede
I can't see any mention of the plan to keep future share purchases on account rather than cancelling them, was this discussed?
S
Never seen so much green assume the loony toons are out in force talking about everything completely irrelevant to this share. Back to HBR, has anyone got any insight into why we seem to buy the about the same amount of shares from each trading exchange every day? My suspicion is they've agreed in advance to what they will buy each day from each exchange and after the 11th when they get approval to keep the shares rather than destroying them we will be buying back many more shares.
Unfortunately that depends why they've taken out the short? I.e if there using as a hedge. If theve got a massive position in BP etc. And there shorting us as the most likely large entity to drop to hedge against POO crashing. Doesn't matter what they announce they won't close it unless it's absolutely massively up. However if it's a money making exercise then yeah they'll be closing it when it looks like we're on the up again.
S
Looks like I brought your shares nitro, I disagree I think this is arround the bottom. it's bounced from this level before, not expecting much before the may RNS but it don't think it will go much further so filled my isa today.
They are all the same sad person, with too much time on their hands, so they spend the day creating new profiles to pedal the same rubbish. Feel sorry for them really, must be really bad to feel that low.

To anyone who hasn't bothered with the filter button, it's a revelation. I've always not bothered as I feel it's important to hear both sides. But in the last few days all this ridiculous rubbish with absolutely nothing to do with shares, let alone oil shares or oil price. Persuaded me and I would advise anyone who hasn't to give it ago,
Think your posting on the wrong group, this is Habour energy not Pfizer,
