I guess that there's the risk that the Ukranian situation escalates more and the West get deeply involved. Some difficult days and weeks ahead... just when things were looking up.

From the interview today, it seems that all the talking has been done on the deal. So things have moved quickly in the last couple of weeks. Given the supply/demand issue, I suspect that the partner will apply some urgency to getting all the t's dotted, etc. and we could be hearing something very, very soon. It appears that we don't need the DFS to be completed or more assay results or a mining licence after all!
Having reflected, I'd now say that GR's reluctance to give a comparable project was because the deal has been done more or less... and that he would effectively be giving the game away.
I think we can safely say that there will be NO PLACING!!!
We've got some very interesting days and weeks ahead!

Yes Bick - I'm not entirely happy if it is our Chinese friends but GR is still talking about having the majority stake... does that bring me comfort... not so sure it does. They will want to play along at least for a year or two though because the big prize is the EPO area

In any event, I think the initial deal simply sets a mark for others to make better offers or to take Prem out altogether. The Chinese angle may be a moot point!

Hi Bick - fair point but it's not beyond the wit of man to strike a deal on the current known resource and to have an agreed framework for anything over and above that, especially if part of the deal is an offtake agreement.

Yes, Acker - spot on, the fun begins when the deal is announced. I can't see Ganfeng getting a clear run at this either. The wording in the RNS was interesting - "Our current objective is to secure direct trade investment into Zulu from a potential leading industry partner"
It seems to me that there could be some non-industry partners looking for a piece of the action too - I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are private equity groups, oilers and others who want to get control of a load of Lithium.

The Tantalum and the rubidium are big pluses. The RUS will be very interesting reading.

He's clearly had his knuckles rapped for saying something before but we know anyway that there are comparable deals done. It's looking very good!

If some of these guys can read the movement of the Prem sp on a daily basis then all credit to them... if they're trading and making money then brilliant... all kudos to them.
Of course, if they are trading then there are days when they're buying - it'd be nice to hear what they've got to say on those days too.
If they're shorting then it's no surprise that they're here telling us all how badly wrong we've got it because that fits their agenda.
If you're holding then these down days don't matter in the long term.
As others have said, nothing has changed here - fundamentals are excellent and there are negotiations ongoing to fund the rest of the Zulu asset.

My understanding of a deposit is that it is paid in advance... it's a show of good faith and is deducted from the final deal. It's interesting that GR used the term "final investment agreement" in the RNS which some might read that there has been an initial investment or... deposit. He's probably forbidden from announcing anything about it.
I could be adding 2 plus 2 and getting 5 but if GR was getting all those uninvited approaches, it would be a way of whittling out the less serious approaches and compensating PREM for the disruption.
One has to read RNS's with great care - it's also interesting that he referred to "considerable work is focussed on refinement and upgrade of the resource."... sounds like this might come sooner than some expect too.
Perhaps, my last comment for today and I might be accused of ramping here but I wouldn't be surprised if we get a day or 2 of 10-20% rises in the next couple of weeks... clearly, Prem is still very volatile!

I understand that some deals are being done where a "deposit" is paid upfront. Sorry that I can't remember which deal it was but the deposit was for $2m. GR clearly has/had some confidence that he'll get or already had funding because he ordered 3 more rigs and engaged a team or 2 to help with the development of Zulu. A deposit would explain that.

Daz - check what you've just said. You've just confirmed that you're trying to manipulate people... just as bad as anyone else that you claim are liars.

Daz - you're actually insulting the people who are "locked in" - you're saying that they only bought in because they listened to others on this board. Are you really saying that they are that stupid?
And if you're saying that people trade based on what is posted here then you're playing that game too and trying to be just as manipulative as those you claim to have lied.

Johhny - you're right though. Look at last Wednesday and look at today... newbies have to be very cautious and should be investing for the medium to longer term. Plenty of folks will have been burnt in the last week because they've bought in and sold too quickly.

Johnny - I think most of us who are very positive about Prem have a long term view and are prepared to wait for the payday (of which there might be a few). The majority of us are very aware of GR's failings and weaknesses and factor that in. I think most of us are holding rather than trading so the changing market reaction is neither here nor there. The position today compared to the same time last year is night and day... a year ago, I would have given GR a 10% chance of delivering a small return on my investment, today, I'd give him an 80% of delivering big returns on my investment.
If having an agenda is to believe that Prem will deliver on it's potential then I'd kinda say that is what is expected when one invests... isn't it?

MM's know that AIM investors/traders get easily spooked and that stop losses can be triggered easily. Historically, Prem's (read GR's) performance has been so erratic that it's an ideal target for MM's to make money. And, of course, there could be some unscrupulous players too.

BUT just to correct something - I don't think that you can apply the term "rumour" to Prem now. We know that a deal is being negotiated, we know that there is Li (and Rb) in the ground and the only outstanding questions are when and how much? I find the idea now that some are "ramping" Prem to catch others out quite silly!
