Someone just took 1m @ 9.67p!! Very interesting.

I think that it is saying that they've got a plan, so far it is working and they don't urgently need funds. The next few weeks will be telling... it could go either way but so far, it's going OK.
I should declare that I'm a Joules fan - it's my go to for clothes. The brand is strong! Good quality and it's not way over-priced like some.

There's no reason that I can think of for the company to want the sp low. The speculation at the weekend is whether Teatum will invest more... the RNS focuses on an equity raise as the stronger possibility. However, the RNS is clear - they don't need to do anything as yet... and they may not need to. Overall, sounds to me like things got out of hand and that they're now putting the house in order. As I say, plenty to play for!

I'm usually glass half-empty on a Monday morning but I'm going to read that RNS as a positive. Despite being on death's door for months, they haven't had to reach out for funds in a panic and they're making good progress. It seems the emphasis is on an equity raise... if needed... and they don't appear to be in a position where they need a CVA.
I take some comfort that they didn't include any statements about shareholders being diluted out of existence.
Still plenty to play for.

Apologies - I think I might have started that. In the context of EUA, the Ukranian war is clearly the number 1 factor for now. Given what Putin has announced, I think he's getting desperate and needs to end this asap. I'm sure that the Chinese have now placed huge pressure on him. Whatever the outcome, I think that this is ending sooner rather than later now. The EUA share price should bounce back massively but the main thing is to achieve peace and a stable Europe.

I suspect that the Chinese have told Putin to end the war... Putin's war on the west will be hurting the Chinese too. If Europeans have stopped spending and the world is heading towards a global recession, the Chinese (and the Indians) will have as much to lose, if not more, as anyone else. I can see some moves to end this senseless war in the coming days and weeks... and it won't end well for Putin!

Really tempted to get into a political debate, Netherwood/asimpleinvestor... I have different views on both right wing libertarians and the NHS but I guess that this isn't the place!

I do apologise for raising the subject of covid! Perhaps, better to say that the world economy is in a different place to what it was in the last 2 or 3 years. The assets that CLON have, imho, a better chance of being exploited going forward. Lithium is hot right now and looks like it will remain so for several years. The price of oil gives governments and corporations much more incentive to progress assets.
CLON are well placed and the update should reflect that.
The spike in the sp earlier this month may be a signal that there is something brewing and any hints in the update will be positive for the sp.

If last year's timing is anything to go by, we should be getting an interim statement in the next few days - now that the world is getting past covid, it should be a very interesting read.

Anyone know if CLON have any interests around the UK - looks like Truss is opening the doors to more exploration.

Where we part is that I don't think it's immaterial - there are clear intentions to open up Bolivia lithium and CLON have agreed a JV in principle. There's lots we don't know but it's moving in the right direction, albeit slowly. My calculated risk is that CLON are well positioned to take advantage of the changing environment in Bolivia.
Quite apart from that, as you say, CLON has other interests - any progress on any of them will accelerate the sp.

I take any statement of purchases with a good dose of scepticism, asimpleinvestor. I'm at a loss why you objected to my earlier comments and I'm now utterly confused about your investment approach if you do in fact have a holding in CLON but yet you avoid unnecessary risk???!!!???

I would answer the question if you didn't know the answer, asimpleinvestor, but clearly you do!

I'm really not in the business of doing due diligence on an individual or suggesting to someone else that they should really do due diligence on me... a tad arrogant, I'd suggest, and I'm certainly not in the business of stating holdings or my investment record... apart from anything else, I don't feel the need.

Why don't you tell us why you're invested then?

I'm familiar with the link. The point is that Bolivian lithium is opening up and CLON is in a good position to benefit from that.

"Best not deal in hypotheticals" - perhaps, you would be better putting your money in a Post Office account, asimpleinvestor, if you're only going to deal with what is and if you're so risk averse!
Anyway, it's a fact that the Bolivian government are evaluating companies for lithium partnerships which, for me, signals more than intent and, perhaps, disproves your position that companies don't act until a government acts!

The Bolivian government have already signalled that they'll be changing the law this year. They need foreign investment and will want to catch the wave like every other country... it's a question of when and not if! It's clear that CLON is still a minnow and, of course, it might be that they sell their interest on or leave themselves as a minority partner. Whichever way this plays out, CLON shareholders should benefit massively.

Infinity, I guess that depends on when one would expect good news and how frequently that news will flow. There's potential for good news anytime - they might not produce lithium for a year or two but you'll know from Prem that the sp can take off at any time.
I think that there's a very good chance that discussions with potential funders are happening now. AIMHO!

I guess that a lot of people made a quick buck from Friday's action but CLON has to be a longer term play... especially with the Bolivian asset. Price of lithium is rising and the supply/demand deficit looks as if it will continue for a number of years. Anyone sitting on a lithium asset should benefit in a massive way and there are plenty of funders who want to accelerate lithium assets in to production. On this alone, CLON has to be massively undervalued and that's why the sp shot up on Friday at the sniff of some positive news. The future looks bright here!
