I agree with a lot of what has been said today but, as is my want, can I add some balance... Pei would not have gone to Zim to only visit Zulu and I think that he'll have had more than Zulu on his itinerary. It would be interesting to find out who else and where else he visited.

If he did visit only to see Zulu then I think that signals something good. I think I've said before that my hope is that we manage to hold on to enough of Prem to see the sp fly (10/20 bagger in the next few years) AND to see years of a healthy dividend. Does Pei's visit make that more or less likely? I'm not sure but I hope that we don't lose Zulu and the EPO area on the cheap!

aimisaluagh is right... the next couple of months is crucial...it's all looking positive at Zulu but targets have to be hit and GR has to say no to any offers!

Radika - I agree with happy. Prem has Zulu plus an EPO area which potentially could accommodate several Zulus... plus there's the potential for gold and other minerals. If GR can deliver the pilot mine and also avoid giving away too much of Prem and develop the rest of the EPO area and avoid splashing out on shiny trinkets, anyone selling at 1p will deeply regret it. There is a long, long way to go... this really is just the beginning... I'm here for at least the next 5 years! AIMHO!!

As happy says, there is also the possibility of a takeover or a bid for Zulu... I agree with him. Zulu alone would have to be several pence.

However, there is a lot to do in the next few months - all of the above depends on delivering the pilot plant.

I, too, really like what GR said about all the employees being from Zimbabwe. That ticks a big box for me.
Now, I've got a dilemma - do I cash in CLON and put the funds in Prem ahead of production at Zulu?

I think I agree - Ghanaian government in London speaking about oil and CLON jumps the next day. Good news seems to be around the corner. The fall in the sp was well overdone last year so I think the correction alone should see us head towards 0.2... if Ghana has moved forward then it'll multibag several times over! AIMHO

I'm no fan of GR, Carpking but I think you're wrong... it would be worth taking a second look at Prem once they start production.

One might conclude that GR doesn't know who he is dealing with if he doesn't recognise who the chairman is!!

SK - I find myself agreeing that it would be fantastic news for Zimbabwe if Suzhou are going to invest more in the country. Apart from a EGM, what other evidence have you got that the potential investment is on the EGM agenda?

If GR delivers the pilot plant into production as expected, do we need an additional investment from Suzhou?

Given the approach that GR has chosen, it would seem foolish to give up anymore of Prem at this stage???

I guess that I agree that this can go either way at this stage but I've taken the view that holders will still hold a decent chunk of Cine once the restructuring has taken place. Every ch11 is different in my book and CINE is already on a recovery course and this year's slate is way stronger than last year. I think Mooky will do everything that he can to delay any deal because he's confident that things will look way better and this puts him in a stronger position to negotiate. I might have this wrong but I don't envisage all of Cine's debt being eradicated in the restructuring either which, I think, will help in relieving some of the pressure to dispose of existing shareholders.

As long as we can keep some level of ownership of the restructured CINE, we'll do very well. Added to that, the prospect of someone coming in to buy a restructured CINE with a strong balance sheet and in a recovering market is looking tasty.

I appreciate that we all want to assume positives from the fact that Suzhou are visiting Zulu but the conflation of this and a Suzhou EGM is a bit naughty and a bit of a stretch.

I get the impression that the Suzhou visit to site is unexpected - GR had due to be in London but he's changed his plans so that he's there to greet them. Why would they arrange to come to site when GR was due to be somewhere else? Does anyone know who from Zulu is going?

It might be that they always wanted to check that progress was OK at this stage but unexpected visits can come about because there are issues.

Or, perhaps, it's just a photo opportunity... could it be that the President is coming along too?

johnny - yes, I think there are a lot of eyes on Prem and the pilot plant progress. GR will need to be careful about how he communicates anything over the next few months... if there is any delay, he's on a bit of a loser because he's not had a good record of giving clear statements in the past. Let's hope that we don't go there but I reckon that there's a lot of money sitting on the sidelines waiting to be put into Prem in Q2.

Not sure that you'll get an answer to that, Watcher... GR has had enough to complete the DFS more than once over the last few years.

Johnny - my take on the current sp level is that there is still a lot that needs to come together before Prem have got money in the bank. I'm sure that every effort is being made to get the job done but I think there is some nervousness that the sp could drop again (as it did last month) at any hint of a delay or, indeed, if something else falls short, e.g. they don't get enough out of the ground from the off.

Did someone not say that GR had done an interview at the end of the year? What has happened to that?

'fictitious barriers'??? I'm surprised at you, Acker. Do you not assess risks and ask yourself what might happen?

Look at GR's previous projects and tell me which one hasn't had an issue... I accept that there's a first time for everything and that things might go exactly to plan (although minor cracks are beginning to show) but it's a reasonable question.
