Dix is predicting a 35% drop in property prices by 2025. There is no way that amount will happen unless Putin goes nuclear. People expected those drops in 2008 and it didn’t happen and it won’t happen now no matter how many people are wishing it does.

They say the average national price is £338k so if you take 35% of that it makes house price average £219k.

I think in 2007 national average was about £180k and it dropped to £158k in 2008 crash but rose within one year.

That report also says what I said earlier and that it’s not a problem of a house shortage but a mortgage shortage or lack of.

People don’t have a Robles getting a house they have a problem with the banks greed as they pull mortgage deals due to seeing lost profit from being able to charge higher rates.

As I said earlier the rates will affect exhausting home owners as if your getting a mortgage now you know you can afford it but supposedly there is 4.4m people due to end a fixed rate by the end of 2024 compared with say 200k people wanting to buy a home in that time.

Your maths are like people who modify cars and don’t know anything about it as they add a filter supposedly adding 20bhp then they add an exhaust which adds approx 30bhp, then they add a few more and they add all the figures up and get that a 260bhp should now be 500bhp as they just keep adding figures up but in reality the sun of all arts would only add 30bhp if your lucky.

How do you get that inflation at 10% takes away 10% of profit??

So you seem to think just adding all the percentages together get the final total, where are you getting the figures house builder have dropped their asking prices? last time i spoke to the sales girls they said they arent reducing prices as they are just offering more incentives and my information is real world not just pieced together from what the papers say.

The higher interest payments are going to affect people who own a home already more than people who are planning to buy one as if you've already pushed your limiit on a mortgage come renewal time it will hurt.

I have said lots os times the drops will be in the private sector and most who were thinking of selling wont as they will juust wait for a healthier market. Sales are still constantly coming in for new builds and if sales slow psn will redesign sites to remove 4 bedroomed properties and build more 2 bedroomed properties in their spaces.

I dont know where you get information like this from, there is no way PSN is making a loss this year!

An hourly rate won’t be much and price work prices are still terrible, Obviously good money can still be made but if your making good money your working hard to get it as it’s not just given to you.

Everyone has a different idea of what good money is and different trades work on separate prices so I have no idea what their rates will be or no idea what so ever what blockies make.

Just because someone in say a shop doesn’t have the capacity to make over £1k a week it doesn’t mean that trades are paid too much because they can make it on price, if anything trades prices should be higher to actually get people wanting to do the work.

Contractor prices haven’t even come close to recovering from the 2008 price crash so if they try and cut them again they truly will force labour into other jobs and they are struggling to find labour as it is.

Porsche1946, I don’t know where you are getting your information from but house prices never dropped 30% in 2008 they dropped but it wasn’t that much from what I can remember maybe just over 10%??

And as for your ‘it’s all going to hit the fan in the next few years”. People have been saying this type of thing for over 25 years. People complaining house price are too expensive and there will be a huge drop. It never happened last time and it won’t happen this time.

People will only sell low if they are forced to where as the rest of the private sellers will just think I’m not selling my house that low and I’ll just wait so there ends up less properties being sold.

Persimmon may of dropped their dividend but so do Bp and shell by over 50% and it’s only just crept up a little now due to them making record profits and their share price being about the same as January 2020.

Psn pay dividends based on profit and they can’t pay what they don’t have so take this opportunity to load up on shares as in the long run this will be a buy.

When she’ll and Bp were £9/£1.90 respectively all the people were saying sell but the ones that bought like myself were the happy ones.
