You do seem to place the worst possible interpretation on any news :)

If you have shares here and you think the company is not going anywhere, then sell the shares. Otherwise, taking a constant negative slant is only going to make you feel bad and maybe even cause an occasional investor to sell. I'm not suggesting ramping - just considering alternative explanations for news.

The BOD is not going to be worrying about maintaining the day-to-day share price to keep every investor happy. They should be thinking about the medium-to-long term value of the company. I've worked in companies where the focus was on the short-term and it was always to the long-term detriment of the company.

Some traders will be taking their 10% profit. Most shares dip a little after a spike, but with ALBA we are interested in what will happen over the next few months, rather than the next few hours. Given the potential for news at any time, and especially with the promising news today, trading in and out is brave :)

I completely agree, as long as the viewpoint does not misrepresent reality and mislead shareholders. All your posts are negative, but there is a difference between simply stating that in your opinion the share price will go down and stating that assays had too low a gold content, which is actually the reverse of the truth when you consider the context.

The former is uninformed opinion but the latter is deliberate misrepresentation of fact.

Gold is different depending on the geology. For the Welsh mines, the gold is 'lumpy' (technical term), so its unlikely the drill will intersect the lumps (like a needle in a haystack). They were drilling to check the geology was suitable for the nuggets, while separately they were sending off tons of bulk samples so they could check the overall grade, as bulk sampling will have enough 'lumps'. It was actually a surprise the drills intersected gold at all and suggests potential high grades from the sampling.

SP is very volatile due to low volume and wide spread. Can jump up 10% very quickly.

So to paraphrase the OP, this is a terrible company, run by terrible people. BTW I am holding on to my shares because I think the company will do well.

They either were over-optimistic about the schedule (which of course hardly ever happens in any company) or the delay is for tactical reasons. Neither of those is going to change my long-term or cause me to rant about the company.

GGP is a very different situation. However, all we have to do is get to a tenth of GGP and that is still 5x from here :)

Not great news in the short-term, but I'm topped up yesterday and now I am trying to decide what to sell to add more :)

What is in the ground didn't change and the long-term value of the company didn't change. In the longer term, this is a golden opportunity to get in cheap before the regional reports.

I think its reasonable to assume that a gold mine has gold. It shut down because gold was $300 oz and it became non-economic to extra, not because they ran out of gold.

A positive item I just found on the ALBA twitter feed from November 26th.

"We will update on timings via RNS in due course. Last RNS statement in this regard was that plant would be operational before end of 2020 and that this remains on track."
