Let's assume that AAL are interested in a takeover and the geology from the drilling indicates a very large deposit, even if we haven't hit the high grade areas yet. Even if that is true (and I hope it is), most shareholders won't bother to do the research to understand the situation, or will see something more shiny elsewhere, or may just get bored. Then they sell.

However, the people who really make money on the stock market are not those who follow the crowd, but rather those who see something that few other people see. If value was obvious to everyone, how would you ever make a profit?

Plus, at the moment the bid-ask spread is huge, so the share price will bounce up and down on minimal volume.

Finally, there is a suspicion that AAL are trying to keep the share price suppressed via Mr250k. That is unproven and would be illegal, but also very much in their interest.

I think it is likely that BHP, CGP and NCM are unhappy with the FN deal because it denied them a chance for greater influence. I think it is also true they would like control of SOLG and would potentially vote for resolutions that gave them more control.

However, I learned none of that from article - just from common sense. An article should inform the reader, or provide a new perspective that make you think. Hearsay with no supporting evidence is just lazy reporting.

So the story is that unidentified people said BHP and NCM were unhappy that NM used FN instead of giving them more shares (shock!), but none of the 'people' was prepared to comment on the record and BHP/NCM both declined to comment.

Given the apparent uncertainty around the AGM, I think any positive RNS would be wasted right now. Get the AGM out of the way and then good news will have more impact on the share price.

It's probably just a shorter, rather than the MMs. Anyone without level 2 might see that as a huge drop and possibly influence them to sell. There are a few shares where you see the tiny sell well below ask quite regularly.

However, the MMs for ARS are ignoring it and leaving L2 alone, which is good. On SOLG in the last few days I have seen the same thing but then L2 adjusts immediately to the new fake low, which is very unusual.

I agree. I have buying over last few days. Considering how many shares were in the placing and the spike in volume as those were sold, its remarkable that the share price has held up so well. The L2 situation looks good as well so it could move up quite quickly once the buying pressure eases.

I don't normally subscribe to market manipulation theories, but last day or two is very suspicious. More than once I have seen tiny sells lower than the bid and then L2 moves to match almost instantly. That normally doesn't happen.

And now the whole of L2 suddenly adjusts to the new fake sell price.

A 5000 sell just went through at 34.36 with the previous sell of 50,000 at 35.00 . The 5000 sell skipped several levels on the bid.

If you read this RNS from 2019 and completely ignore the fact there is a working mine already operating, the drilling results alone should result in a much higher market cap :)

I though the RNS was generally encouraging. We all know there have been many delays in the past, but the fact due diligence is done demonstrates progress and is a very positive sign. I doubt the finance will happen before Xmas and maybe not even in January. However, I am not holding this stock because of the share price in the next few weeks.

I think it has huge potential over the next few years, so I am not losing any sleep if finance take a little longer. Besides, I've worked for a lot of large companies and they hardly ever meet deadlines. Management optimism usually overrides sensible advice from those at the sharp end :)

Yes, everyone be careful of an RNS that says a $160m deal will be done before Xmas to sell 80% of an asset owned by a company with a market cap of $70m :)

Oh and that doesn't include their second major asset that they can exploit using the proceeds of the sale for the first one.

I have more in SOLG, but ARS is worth a look.
