It is very hard to predict where the sp will land after the "finance done deal" RNS. Theoretically it "should" easily be in the 8p+ range, based on even the most pesimistic NPV calculations, rising again in the coming months as the SA assets are sold (currently nil value in sp imo). Post SA sale there is no reason why the NPV won't be 10p+, rising as we get closer to production. I appreciate that analysists have said circa 10p on production, but they are overly bearish on the PoG imo.
In saying that...... just because the NPV says 8p (which finance de-risked), that doesn't dictate the sp. primarily because sp always lags inherent value imo, and I also feel like there will be a rush to the exits for a lot of frustrated LTH as soon as they get above water, and I also think that when the sp reaches levels like 2p, etc. it will "feel" like a spikey and "high" price. People will sell (or maybe not buy) based on emotional assessment of value, rather than logic. It will take time for the dust to settle, NPV calcs to be carries out, institutions to pitch and approve their investment cases, etc, etc.
Therefore I conservatively expect an initial rerate to circa 1.5p, followed by a bit of a wobble, and then finishing the day around 2p. A week later I predict closer to 3p (say 2.8p), but then a steady upward trend for the next month or so. Following that I expect that speculation around the SA assets will begin, with an expectation that news could add another 1p-2p onto the sp, however I would expect a traded "buy the rumour, sell the news" spike and return, followed by a steady rise to circa 10p by end of '27.
My predication therefore is 2p close on day of RNS, 3p by end of the week, 4p by Christmas, 6p by April, 7p-8p by this time next year.
If greed induced buying takes over, there is every chance of 5p - 7p on day of RNS (the value is there and the NPV can support those prices), but it would require a lot of hype and visibility, and I suspect it would be trader driven and eventually fall back below 5p again, so even I would trade if we got to over 6p on an RNS spike.
