By averaging out over time you hedge against movements, either up or down. Hopefully you can figure out when it makes sense.

I hope that in six months we'll be well into construction of the mine and Lycopodium will be starting on a processing plant. But I also wouldn't advise anybody else to take my stance as it is full of risk. What I did suggest was a more risk-adverse exit strategy for somebody who no longer believes in Tulu Kapi.

I think everybody knows that 0.55 is a tough number to get past due to it being the last placement price. I hoped that yesterday we had gotten past it, but it looks like it's going to be stubborn. It's all just titillation anyway, what really matters is getting ratification, getting the contracts signed, getting the community resettled and getting Tulu Kapi gold out of the ground! That's when I'll be more concerned about the sp level.

I suggested that a more risk adverse approach to exiting a stock is to average out of it over the next six months. That way you mitigate the consequences of selling everything the day before a life-changing re-rate.

It won't be signed off by 25th of March though, we've already been told that it's likely to be end of March, which in KEFI time prob means some time in April.

I'd hate to see a LTH (8 years) sell on the 25th March only for the sp to 10x the next day! Selling down 15% per month is a well known strategy of smoothing out any volatility while exiting.

Bounty Hunter, bad news for you - it's not going to be all sorted and closed by 25th March. If we start seeing progress on things like AFC ratification, etc though, I expect that it might be not long after that.

If you've been here 7-8 years, I think a smart move would be to average out over the course of the next 6 months or year. That way you're mitigating against the chance of a huge re-rate coming the week after you sell up.

I feel like the AFC ratification is big for the KEFI Tulu Kapi deal, but probably insignificant for the rest of the country and perhaps not even news-worthy.

I'm not stressing too much about it anyway. So long as we hear something within the next few weeks I will be happy, but today or this week would be nice.

Crazytowner, I like your thought about ARTAR having a vested interested in buying out the remaining 15%, even if they intend to bring on a partner, because then they could do it on their own terms.

For a long time I have also thought that potentially ARTAR could but out KEFI's 15% but keep them on as subcontracted exploration and mining consultants and subcontractors - would be a nice we revenue stream with reduced risk exposure.

Nice steady upward trend continues, without getting carried away. Little gap up upon AFC ratification, and then a continuing upward trend towards the end of March would be nice. Sitting somewhere North of 1p prior to finance sign off would be a nice launch-pad for a significant re-rate. And following that a really positive upward trend for the next 24 months into production.

The more drilling completed, the more value added. Will be nice to cash in our exploration, but I expect that the actual sale process will take at least a few months, but I'm not stressing over it.

Really looking forward to next week - can already feel the excitement building!

Crazytowner, I don't believe we need the money anyway, so it's neither here nor there whether the deal gets done in March or August. What will be nice, and will support the mcap and sp, is the confirmation of KEFI's asset value in SA.

The number, and confirmation that there are buyers willing to pay that number, is what is of importance to the sp imo. To me it makes no difference if the value sits as cash depreciating in the bank or tied up in a gold-mine in one of the hottest districts in the world during a gold-run!

This would be typical is there is a huge buy order being filled in the background. Look out for another big buy being reported this afternoon. It might also be the reason for the drop - sometimes a quick drop in price can help pry shares from those considering selling.

What do we think this will close this week at? Will we break 0.6p?

I don't know, it was crazy dedication to a share he had no vested interest in!

Either that or he was shorting it and has gave up.

For convincing other's that he is right he wins big - he's gifted himself a crazy low buy-in opportunity.

Thankfully he's done all the morally corrupt and time-consuming hard work, but I was still able to take full advantage of it!

I think that it's clear that even Bonkers accepts that now is the time.

He has worked his little socks off to get the sp as low as possible, through spreading fear wrapped of as sensible caution, but he has clearly given in. I expect that he has likely filled his boots at somewhere around 0.52p. He'll be sitting back and laughing at all the marks he hoodwinked into being over-cautious and enabling his bargain-hunting by not-buying / selling.

The most important piece of investing advice is to DYOR!

Upshunt, I expect that the majority of those who invested at the placement price of 0.55p have a time-line of several years, not several months. I expect they will all be very satisfied with their investment by the time it comes to selling or collecting their dividends!
