He is 100% guilty of firing out unrealistic time-lines, to keep the market interested, but I don't think that at any stage KEFI could be accused of dragging their feet. They can only progress as fast as EG red tape allows them to, and I actually think that what they have achieved in Ethiopia in the last 5-10 years is impressive.

Well the bonds are gold-linked (priced in $), so they will get the same return as anybody investing in gold (which has obviously done rather nicely as of late!). It gives them that exposure, and the protection that it provides against erosion of their wealth through devaluation of Bir.

The reason the $ to Bir has risen is due to a collapse in the Bir. Ethiopians do not have access to markets to hedge against this. This is the very reason why the EthioPrefs will be so attractive. Ethiopians are not even looking for a return on their investment, they're just looking for a safe haven.

This is a great 'win-win' way to take advantage of a local problem, but providing a niche solution which has the by-product of allowing KEFI Ethiopia to finance TKGM. There won't be any interest due, unless the PoG rises, and if the PoG rises then we'll have significantly more profit each year anyway.

Perhaps now that all the children are finished throwing their toys out of the pram, over the fact that we got an RNS that wasn't confirmation of Ratification and sale of GMCO, perhaps we can all accept that the project is clearly progressing at pace on thee ground and on all other fronts. The government are pumping money into the scheme and progressing their works, the community resettlement is well underway, the site establishment works are progressing well, the Contractors have been told to gear up to commence the main works, and KEFI Ethiopia has now established itself as a subsidiary company, with management structure now in place.

Anybody who thinks that TK is not 100% happening, and happening soon, is just suffering from the trauma of the last 5 years!

they all still believe that gmco is selling for big money, and that tk is going to happen. if they didn't then they would sell up and go plays somewhere else. the negativity isn't that it isn't going to happen, just frustration that it's happening at a realistic time-scale, and not the sale's pitch time-scale that harry suckered everybody in with.

the solution is patience. switch off from kefi, set a notification for when the sp goes up 100% and forget about it. it will happen. it will make significant holders very rich for zero effort. but it will happen when it happens, and fretting about how long it is taking is completely futile.

It's good PR, and it's a good article that will perhaps spark some interest in potential new PIs. Genuinely there has never been a better time to invest in KEFI. We've never been cheaper, with a higher NPV, and "on the cusp" of commencement of a £billion gold-mine!

Unlike you (who spends hours correlating posting times of various different internet accounts across multiple platforms, and then still gets it wrong lol), I have a life outside KEFI and have zero interest in spending any of my free time trying to convince you of anything.

Bonkers / Jemima, I didn't say I was predicting £50m. It was a conservative example, in the hope that you might comprehend the point that I was making, rather than fixating on a prediction.

Regarding ratifications, do your own research. In most instances it was around 2 months from ministerial approval to final ratification. Several banks were way longer than this (eg 2+ years), but this was due to having to fund-raise, etc. prior to final ratification.

Regarding re-rating, you issue is that you simply can't comprehend that post-de-risked KEFI mcap bares absolutely zero relevance to our current mcap. That's what you can't wrap your head around, and I don't know how to explain it to you, nor do I really care whether you are able to understand it or not.

Those who do, have made their investment.

For what it's worth, if you want to have any credibility when you are critiquing anybody else's sp predictions, the very least you could do is give your own..... which you always dodge, but I'll ask again.

What is your forecast sp at the following stages:

- ratification of AFC

- signing of the definitive detailed documentation

- first dig

- commencement of production

You try to convince us all that you are a shareholder, which would be ludicrous without a sp expectation or exit strategy

Bonkers, your assessment of the markets seems to be a victim of your own confirmation bias.

Just because you completely disregard a company's fundamentals, and instead focus on how "loved" a company is or how amicable and endearing a CEO might be, doesn't mean that the rest of the market shares your view. Your position doesn't even make sense, because your only metric for determining how "loved" a company is, is it's mcap, but by that stage there's no opportunity left. The whole point of investing and trading is an ability to spot opportunities that the market has gotten wrong, by them and wait for the correction. Volume, sp, etc. with KEFI is a symptom of the lull while we await an update. All players have now placed their stake in this investment, and the market awaits the outcome. The brave will have already loaded up, and the more risk adverse will be sitting on the side-lines waiting to try and get in as low as possible once the RNS lands. Until that happens, then KEFI will remain fairly stagnant. The only buyers will be small top-ups from current holders, and the only sellers will be distressed sellers who can't wait it out (and perhaps somebody with a vested interest in keeping a lid on any sp increase!).

Bonkers you keep saying that everybody is wrong because re-rate predictions haven't came to fruition, all while completely ignoring the fact that they're predictions POST FINANCE DERISKING. That still hasn't happened, so how can you say that these predictions are wrong??

Regarding your example of Power Metal. By your calcs you're saying that their inherent value is circa £20m but their mcap is only £15m... so mcap to valuation of 75%

.... well then have a look at KEFI's mcap of £40m. £40m/75% = £53m. Sale of GMCO alone will likely be more than that, without even considering TK.

I conservatively would value GMCO @£50m plus TK at £1b. So when de-risked the inherent valuation is £1.05b. at 75% that's £790m = 10p share price.

I did expect it to be finalised before the end of 2024, but it wasn't and still isn't sorted. That doesn't mean that I'm going to get my knickers in a twist and start looking for someone to blame. at the time I did research into how long similar ratifications have taken in the past, and I got a range of answers between a few weeks and several months (up to about 6). My assumption was that due to the advanced stage of things with the finance minister, that it was more likely to be a few weeks, but even though that was a reasonable assumption it has transpired that wasn't the case.

The rerate will be huge. I'm happy to continue waiting, and taking advance of the additional top-up opportunities until then.

Stringer, I think you have unrealistic expectations personally.

Harry has not been " failing, obfuscating and delaying", he (just like the rest of us) is waiting on the EG finalising ratification. There's not a whole lot Harry, or any of the rest of us, can do except wait.

Everybody agrees that it's incredibly unlikely that it won't happen, and when it does happen it will be transformational for the sp. Yes, the sooner the better, but really this is a golden opportunity that requires nothing more than patience.

You're missing the point, which is that Edison's conservative valuation of 15% of GMCO has added zero value for Al Hajar, etc. Therefore the supposition is that the Edison estimate is light (and they're giving themselves some wriggle room when it comes back higher).

You're so argumentative and contrary that, in your eagerness to dispute anything positive that is posted, you can't even pause to consider what is being said.

You won't even give a sp prediction. It's all worthless and pointless, and just clogs up the board with negativity and crying over spilt milk.
