you got any examples of where a company was sold at X5 closing price as thats pretty much needed to just get back to 170p

one gets the feeling the rejection of 170p is only going to look worse and worse as time goes on

yes Steve, unfortunately the market is heavily implying that there is much more wrong with THG than the macro and competitive set face

and zero II buys since TO talk despite SP destruction from 156 to 36p, bodes badly with still not low enough for even the most opportunistic ones

you woudl think impossible given they only just updated on FY 2 weeks back, knowing that 10/12 weeks of Q3 were in the bag

but assume they are bad as they obvisouly cut growth from 19-24% down to 10-15%, and ebitda from 160m to 100-130m (before SAAS adjustement)!!

100% agree it would be beyond crazy and less than the cash they have (albeit not taking into account debt or lease etc)
my point is, why do no II buy into THG when the share price is 36p...thats what IR need to persuade to happen

if no II buy (which they have not), and shorts keep shorting, it can just keep dropping.sure it will find a bottom, maybe rise, but shorts will reload and repeat

its 100% only an ecom retailer - thats for sure
it doesnt have any tech whatsoever - other than retailing, it can run d2c for other companies (like Next do) but this is now a drag as they have done a **** poor job in signing material customers, and at the same time it costs circa 80-100 million a year to keep the platform relevant whilst in H1 only earning 22m in commerce

nasdaw up 0.75%, asos and boo broadly flat, ocado recovered from -4%
THG all time low - i have defended this company a lot in the past, but seems pointless now

there is more than this than meets the eye - and 100% not in a good way

this is starting to look terminal

this company has long term debt and lease liabilites, but it also will have 300m pounds of cash in the bank end of 2022

the market cap is now 500m
it has a customer database of over 20m customers, and physical assets of close to 500m, plus inventories and amount owed more than 600m

i understand the market is ****ting itself again due to inflation, but when does logic come in and someone someweher just say...i m going to buy this company

so the bots have finally achieved their objective today of turning THG red again

this great news for mypro - shows that they adapted well to the harsh conditions caused by whey pricing better than competition, and I think they should look at buying them (if distressed)

this isnt fundamental based anymore, or macro based anymore - it is simply using the corrupt financial market to bring the SP down through what most agree, should be made illegal

Moulding will take this private - no doubt with the support of balderton and sofina (who have only bought and never sold even when at 6/7/8 quid) and I am sure he can find a friendly US PE to stump up the remaining 1bn needed or so

so happy to see the French stock market overtake London yesterday in size and importance - serves these dinosaurs, essex oiks and coke addicts right

i think the share price action which is manipulation of the highest order makes it an absolute certainty that moulding will take private
