I just have read your post from 19:41 yesterday criticising mathsprof for "trying to compare finding the faults in shining gold bar" that some would seek to find to that of VAL-201 Clinical Trial's Results that mathsprof was talking about.You clearly do not understand what does CLINICAL word encompasses.The results must be significant to the smallest number of patients that will be valid STATISTICALLY so the drug can be offered to the patients in a greater numbers as a TREATMENT in Phases 3 and 4.To have statistically valid results for Phase 2 you would need 30 patients+.For that reason our Trial was submitted to MHRA as a 50 patients recrutement target,which we have badly failed to achieve.For that reason alone the previous management could not find any Partners to take us further in spite of Dr Morris writing in every RNS that he was talking with several interested parties regarding VAL-201's further progress.As we all know no one offered any money to date.I hope that this post will help you to understand a bit more about VAL-201 and you, just might, be less critical about mathsprof,who has a full understanding of the situation, like I do too.Stach

I remember you well as you were one of the critical posters when I repeatedly said that consolidations were a very bad sign for us as investors and for VAL as a Company long term.I am pleased for you that you have improved on your losses but be careful this time.Try to re read my today's posts and pay attention to the details regarding the tests,which must be first class ie. no ifs & buts in order to attract significant Partner or buyer.This is because there are only 12 patients in the Study to analyse.In our case of VAL-201 the mere fact that the Drug is safe is only good for Stage 1 Trial.As our Trial was encompassing Stage 1+2,the 2 being EFFICACY data gathering it is the latter that will prove wanting.Because of that it will be difficult for any RESPECTABLE pharma to pay us decent money.They would have to repeat the Phase 2 and that would take another two years at least.I can not recall any decent money paid to Companies like Valirx for just Phase1 Compound.Stach

Hello Mer400.Have you noticed £700k Admin expenses/year(last year £800k?).The Results for VAL-201 can not and will not be spectacular as to any efficacy against disseminated prostate cancer with only 12 patients to asses.PSA test on its own will not convince anybody in big Pharmas to buy the drug.The scans,bone marrow status(through biopsies) and biochemistry will need to be repeated several times to decide what progress the patients have made.All this needs to be done again on at least 30-50 patients.That means a MULTICENTRE Phase -2 /3.It will be much more expensive yet remember how much was spent already for just 12 patients, just at UCH London.If you can not get Satistics ,there will be no money coming.Up front you need paying MHRA when applying for the further Clinical Trials and state that you have financing sorted out.Black Cat has to be special to provide such Capital.I do not know how easy it will be to them.here are some posters claiming that we have not been in such a good position before.What about the time when the share was 75p/share?We have been in far better shapes in the past and look what happened to many sincere lth.If you are a trader (the current lot of most here now),you may make some money or get sucked in and lose some.ATB-Stach

This worries me as clearly there is a very tight cash situation and a new cash call will be on the way soon via a placing.This is at a time when as report suggests,a further pipeline of Compounds is going to be developed.Where is the money going to come from for that?Be careful .I have seen all this before many times with this Company, being a continuous investor since 2004 till last February.Stach

Good morning mathsprof.I hope you are well as the years are piling on us very quickly.It is now over 12 years since my retirement from the NHS as a Consultant.I was working then in 2004 when City Equities broker contacted me re VAL saying that I would be one of the first to be buying its shares.Having being treating these patients with various cancers , I thought that at last there may be a glimmer of hope at least within 5 years or so for patients who had no hope having exhausted modalities of treatments of all kinds at that time.Scientifically VAL-201 was making sense but now we know was badly mishandled by the Firm,who produced it!A series of bad CLINICAL appointments of so called advisers ,who were very lazy but paid well, led to squashing the potential of the drug whilst the then Directors did not have the courage to sack them.This is why we are now in such a poor position.Personally,I shall wait to see,who has any interest of taking our VAL-201 further before buying at the current prices.Last consolidation was a horrendous one and I worry about further dilution of shares a precisely what made my initial 2mln shares to 16k.As you know I was jumped on by many when I have become critical about dilutions followed by Consolidations.It is a trap of AIM unfortunately.Finally it is very likely that Phase 2 Clinical Trial will have to be repeated/extended before any money from big Pharma can come to us unless we sell the Compound to that Pharma right now.ATB.Stach

mathsprof...Hi there.Just saw your post,with which I totally agree.I have told those old stooges at the initiation of VAL201 Clinical Trial that it should be a MULTICENTRE and not a single Site one as the data would accrue much quicker with greater number of patients in much shorter time would have been treated.Furthermore the validity of the results would count much higher in the eyes of potential Partners/Buyers.Obviously the stats by now would have told us so much more about VAL-201 and its worthiness.You may recall that they told one of our posters that I was out of date sine"old fool".I could see that guys and the doll had not a clue how to proceed.I am amazed how poor intake into the Study has been at UCH. Now I have no shares in VAL and am watching with just an interest to see what transpires .GL my friend if you are still invested.Stach

Just had a long conversation with HL. They do not yet have shares from BPC hence we can not be credited with them into our accounts.I was told it may take two weeks by the time we get them! It is BPC that has not forwarded their MERGED shares to HL and told them that such a lapse time can be expected.I told HL man that it is really unacceptable to us as past CERP holders and detrimental too.We can not trade whilst BPC fellow shareholders are making money.Where is Leo Koot on that? Pay zones are important as they will dictate the sequence of oil extraction to start with.Patience is required with Saffron.I am expecting the news on Goudron and all other fields already producing.I think we deserve that by now.Stach

We should also hear about The Extension of IPSC for Goudron permit as soon it will be 3 months since RNS from 18th of November.It is such an important matter as Goudron provides us with daily cash.It would be nice to know what the CURRENT oil daily extraction from Goudron is.Stach

Hi again Bamps21.Yes indeed, personally I do not know what The Admin of CERP is doing all day whilst LK is at the Saffron site.How come that we have had a very good flow of info at the beginning of Columbus,when there were fewer Staff in the office than now? LK needs to sort this aspect of the Company pretty quickly before all credibility goes to potts.Stach

Good Morning All. Bamps21,I feel that most people here seem to forgotten that Saffron Well was(and still is) in many ways a diagnostic drill that may give some confirmation as to the validity of the results already in hand for SWP in Trinidad.This is why it was drilled to such a depth and taken long time.If it is suitable for production AFTER initial Testing(which again will take at least two weeks) and if indeed it is,that will be a great bonus to us all.The samples obtained were sent to Labs of great repute and we just have to be patient awaiting the results.As to your support on this bb,you have mine to the hilt! Hi Bamps.No,I have not, I was saying and meant HORIZONS.Them being so narrow,the flows may be very restricted and if so not commercial.Upper stratas are my hope.ATB-Stach

Those three horizons are very narrow with 8 feet in the first,10 feet in the second and 8 feet in the third showing hydrocarbons.This is very poor and the only hope is that we might have hit the tail of the basin containing oil,which the flow testing might provide the answer to it.If the flows are significant that may confirm my thinking,otherwise Lower Cruze in our well is no good.The upper end sands may be more productive.Are we revisiting Mr Ritson? Bamps21.Hi again.I am trying to be positive as my money is still invested here.I think LK himself is a bit fed up with not been able to deliver results on time as initially promised.He probably underestimated the difficulties of Trinidadien oil exploration and slow moving Ministerial Offices.Take this last well drilling though,why we have to wait up to two and a half months for the analysis of samples taken and the flow test as RNS states it needs Q1 to do so.They did not say "few weeks".It is this and Shroder selling that kicked the share price down.I am stuck here so am far from trying being negative.I hope LK reads this BB.All the Very Best to you.Stach

Garnhiem.Its' OK .However we know very little about what is going on at Goudron now.We have had initial "gushers" there but at least we knew that the real oil would flow and in some of those wells still flows.Why not inform the investors of how many wells are operational,how many are being worked over? How much oil per month we are actually extracting? This latest deep drilled well clearly is not a gusher although showing some oil at several levels.I am just waiting to see how extractable this oil will be as I do understand that it is a test well only thus far.CPR on its own may not help the share price very much, if at all.ATB-Stach

Bamps21.Hello and thanks for your posting today,with which I totally agree.There is Goudron in the background delivering daily quantity of oil and workovers must be taking place,why we know so little about it?After all it keeps the Company going.What is happening to water pressure following injecting it? Has it had any positive effect on oil production there? The same for CO2.I am beginning to have that sickly feeling again as when I have lost a small fortune under Mr Ritson's command.Shroders must know something more than we mortals here.Why start selling at such a crucial time in the life of Columbus? Hello MrOnions.A very good comment about broker changing habit.This undermines Val each time they do it.I am surprised that they run out of money already.Last time money raising ,I would have thought should have been enough till February.Also just to pay Statisticians to analyse VAL-201 results should not cost more than £10K. The results should be ready within 6-8 weeks.This is a very simple and small Clinical Trial.They are (VAL) clearly running out of money now.A very important point that I wish to raise is that The Trial only ended last month and the collateing of all laboratory and clinical results will take time. Data analyses then should be very quick.Therefore I am not selling my shares yet( after 16 and a half years being invested here! ).ATB - Stach
