Does Anyone understand what is going on with wti and Brent? This is the most manipulated market possibly known to mankind. I thought that Libya outage would impact Brent more than wti but that was obviously wrong. Whatever the us has been trying to destroy Opec for decades and now they have torpedoed the venezuelans, libyans and trying their best with Iran. I just hope that they take responsibility for the mess they create in the world.

Maybe the experts have moved on. Alma, galia, scolty have been disasters so it is imperative that this is not a failure. I fully agree that AB should not sign off kraken if it is not in a state to be signed off. I think the markets fear is (most likely correct) that it may never be in that state. Whether it is bumis failt doesnt really matter as it was in the end enquests fault to take them in. I dont think the full extent of this lack of sign off is priced in yet

Agreed. It would be positive so hopefully the banks allow it. I think as romaron wrote on ii if AB had 1 bn to spend he would do it. His eyes are bigger than enquests shareholders appetite but hopefully some sensible person is holding onto the Reins (maybe Bob davenport).

I think that comparing enquest to pmo, tullow and gkp may be quite unfair to enquest as we just arent in the same League. Is there a better Group of low performing small caps that would be a fairer comparison? Grateful for any pointers

From today onwards enquest can acquire the additional 75% of Magnus against an up front payment of 100m. I guess AB has already Done some complicated transaction like forward selling more oil at a heavily reduced price and he Will kindly let us all know next week. The smilling cheshire cat is a risk taker so why stop now. Its all Guns blazing! I am starting to think that kraken Will not be signed off any time soon. Where the fault lies god only knows. Just read that catcher has hit plateau rates (started significantly after kraken) and pmo has been included in ftse 250 so that Will be a big boost for them. Effectively Trump is trying to break up Opec by trying to do this. Interesting to see what happens. Trump is acting as a businessman and not a politician so the effect of his actions are not always obvious. Regardless under Opec saudi cant unilaterally decide this. The us have destroyed the oil market by their actions flooring prices in 2014 and a day of reckoning is coming. Oil production is declining and there are major doubts how long shale can last.

For most other oilies (gkp, pmo, tullow and cne) it is 9+ and for enquest it is 4. Explains why we are at 35p and not 70p but not why the estimated earnings are not trusted

There is obviously things that disappoint the ”market”. Kraken not at 50k, Alma not at 15k. There are all valid excuses however the market Rewards results and not talk. Just glad that we did not go bankrupt last year. Hopefully we are in better shape now. Onwards and upwards for poo!
