To get to the same PE ratio as GE at 33 the SP has to increase to £9 and to get to Safrans 59 PE ratio the SP has to be £16..maybe in years to come but why would RR have to operate on a lower PE ratio compared to peers?

Safran and RR have strikingly similar revenues (Safran €23bill v RR £16bill) and similar dividend yield for 2025 around 1% yet Safran have a market cap twice that of RR and a PE ratio of 59. We both pee on the same pot but arguably RR have got a more diversified portfolio of products. To get parity with Safran, RR's SP would have to double...why are we trading at such a massive discount v one of our biggest competitors?

What are you doing here GW if you don't think the SP will multibag? i took the forecast output, times it by gas price divided it by 2 took off $2m for expenses and divided it by number of shares to get the PE ratio...what's your logic please and your estimate of SP by year end?

Hi CP, yes I did divide by 2 but no, I didn't take expenses into account. So if you take (guess) $2m off the $7.5 you end up with GBP 4.6M so EPS at £0.00039 so a PE ratio of 0.7....so to get to PE ratio of now 7 you still end up with half a pence a share

So two new vertical wells at 2mmscfd and one horizontal well at 4 mmscfd estimated so a low ball figure would be say 5 mmscfd so around $7m in gas and say $0.4m in oil would give eps at $0.0006 so a PE ratio at todays SP at 0.8 so to get to a PE ratio of 8 the SP has to rise to £0.0048 very roughly so half a pence a share. l

Never underestimate our politicians and their ability to make decisions that they think are great for UK plc. The Conservative government gave a massive train order for Thameslink to Seimens who opened an assembly plant in the UK to assemble the trains from kits supplied from Germany. I could very, very easily see the government accepting similar proposals from GE Hitachi, Holtec and Westinghouse i.e. ‘we’ll pay for and build a factory in the UK’ but with the core components supplied from the US. This will make it looks like ‘three’ assembly plants have been opened which might need a couple of hundred staff each (??) to conduct final assembly and tighten the bolts but the bulk of the value will be off-shored to the US…that is my fear and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this were the case…the government will be able to hoot about job creation when it really really isn’t.
