It would take truly stellar results to get us to £7 in Feb I.e profit and free cash flow 25 or 30% higher than expectations but it's easy to say this with only 2 months before results are issued....£7 maybe on announcement of an SMR order or preferred bidder or fantastic h1 2025 results?

Well you could be right carrot....there's a chance that the incremental 25 barrels per day and the 150k scfd thus far are the only results out of Selan's massive $20m investment and none of the others inc the new wells deliver anything in which case, yes, further placings inevitable.

I think you're in for a disappointing 2025 carrot. The news will be thick and fast with I expect one RNS per month starting end January with a c63 update on improved flow rates from c63. Remember, it's SYN's money that is being used at $50k per day in improving and drilling not SYN's...Roland has played a blinder here and got someone else to pay all costs, what's not to like? My prediction is a doubling of SP every quarter so 0.001 end March, 0.002 end June and 0.004 end September and 0.008 end of 2025.

Agree, this is the news we've been waiting years to see.

Equally, 'if' we get an order from Turkey or Saudi Arabia with BAE Systems as the main contractor, final assembly will occur in RR Bristol but all of the partner nations will be supplying us 'their' modules....no one nation can produce an entire EJ engine from scratch rather a quarter of one and of course final assembly

GBHolds, no, Typhoon engine production is still on-going in Bristol. All of the 'nations' have a final assembly line in country so MTU on Germany, Avio in Italy, ITP in Spain and RR for UK. Each of the nations have a share in engine module production so if there's say 12 modules on the EJ engine, RR UK will produce 3 modules for ALL nations regardless but final assembly will occur in ITP Spain. So we do get workspace out of this us what I'm saying.

Hi AZ...if each SMR sold for say £2Bn then 25 SMR's would be worth £50bn in extra revenue...but over say 10 years I would guess...they wouldn't be able to make all 25 in one year so the additional revenue would be say £5bn per year I guess. We are never going to be able to match GE's $60 billion per year revenue no matter what we do unless we bought major player(s) out.

Excellent news CP...this is the stuff that the Motley Crew don't think about..we have just won an order for 59 engines but also the support services too going on for decades to come. With a fair wind we'll get an order for 40 typhoons for Turkey and 48 for Saudi too next year. As for the ups and downs of the SP I couldn't care less...as long as we don't have a catastrophe in the form of another lockdown or a serious quality problem I think we're good for £7 to £8 this time next year.

BBB the question should be where's the SP going to be 27th feb...that is the next step in the RR journey....if we miss our numbers then I expect a tank...if we beat then I expect north of £6

I didn't mention the SP yesterday..I applauded the progress and speculated where we would be in 12 months' time if we got to 7 to 8 000k scfd

Yesterday's RNS was a bit of a damp squib but it was never going to take off on confirmation of 150k scfd and 25 barrels per day but we can be assured that progress is being made and hopefully an update on c63

So if I've got this right, they're going to install a 'nodding donkey' pump at c63...I initially thought they meant an artificial lift pump in the same vein as c77 but c77 is gas so presumably a different design. so when they talk about artificial lift pumps (oil) they mean the classic beam style pump texas style? very interesting that the preprioty work has increased us by 25 boe without these in place yet.

Yes, totally CP...the '$500k pa' figure from today would mean 40 years for Selan to recoup their investment...Selan want returns in 2 or 3 years I'd guess. Today is very much the start of a procession of updates and good news...today we have 300k scfd this time next year it will be 6,000k to 8,000k scfd plus the oil which would put Syn on a PE ratio of just 0.5 which is ludicrous. To get to a PE ratio of say 10 the SP has to go up twenty times today.

I see our resident SYN basher hasn't got a lot to say (as usual) so onwards and upwards with c64 and c73 the next candidates. hopefully a blue day today and start of the journey back to £0.001

Promise I'll shut up after this but the October presentation showed C63 and C70 as 'intermittent oil producers' but reading the RNS, C63 has been producing 25 barrels oil per day and C70 has been tested using C73's processing equipment at 150,000 scfd. my point is the schematic on the oct presentation is wrong not that I suppose it matters and still nothing but good news.
