Remember, no one expected RR to win B52 I thought it was either Pratt or GE a nailed on certainly so I wouldn't be surprised if say Westinghouse won say 20 SMR's with the first ones built in the US on the proviso that the rest are built in the UK ditto GE.

Out of the 4 remaining bidders, one will be quickest, one will be cheapest, one will have the maximum uk content and one will offer the best technological solution. But there are other considerations here...the contest has to be seen to be fair, two of the contenders are US based and will kick up stink if they're not chosen and also RR are going to be flat out on AUKUS in the next 10 years. I think minimum two bidders will win but I could easily see all 4 awarded contracts. no way will RR win in all.

I would be both delighted and amazed if RR got 100% of the UK SMR business. Westinghouse already have operations in the UK (Springfields) to process fuel. 20 GW by 2050 would require 60 or 70 SMR's..I wouldn't be surprised if RR got 20, Westinghouse 20 and GE 20. no way this is 100% going to RR as much as I'd like it to

Hi Peakdread, Rycey is what's called an ADR (American Depositary Receipt) ADRs offer U.S. investors a way to purchase stock in overseas companies in this case Rolls-Royce plc. An American investor is therefire buying shares in RR plc in USD and dividends paid in USD's. They're not two different companies the SP is the same as here but expressed in USD hence 7 odd dollars.

I agree ReggieT..everyone here bought in knowing the risks just like every other mini and micro cap company out there in development mode. Hemo need cash for operations and right now this is the only avenue they have so I'd rather they did this than suspend trails. I can't believe the whinging..if you want shares in a profitable pharma company go buy shares in Astra Zenika or GSK as I say we knew the risks the day we clicked 'buy'
