(Easy way to tell … just read back over the board, strip out posts about the war in ukraine, and pretty much all you are left with is b_positive’ repetitive cut and paste spamming.)

… the take-home message here is simply that peeps chat away on this board about putin’s invasion of ukraine because EUA as a company is moribund, with no meaningful developments or commercial activity worth talking about.

(and of course, very obviously, casualty figures which include civilian deaths and serious injuries will give different numbers from military personnel losses only…. me , i tend to think civilians ‘count’.)

It’s also off-topic for EUA (in my view) to get into a lengthy discussion about this, but i think chessgambiteer is making the mistake of assuming that because it’s (genuinely) difficult to get precise and transparent data about casualties on either side, there’s no way to produce reasonable broad estimates of total casualties.

(… also important to agree on definitions re casualties - most obviously as death rates will be rather lower than numbers badly injured /permanently incapacitated…)

…. i don’t know if cg genuinely believes the putin fanboy stuff he pumps out, or if he’s just an underwater pi who will say anything at all that he believes might give him a chance of suckering someone else into buying…. either / both seem possible.

Good morning sb and td2 - yup, war on the korean peninsula illustrates how some nasty conflicts just get frozen for years / for decades rather than resolved - expensively, sadly, dangerously, with ongoing huge commitments needed on both sides.

it’s a little off-topic to get into here, but i think cg is also being rather naive (or just plain stupid?) about how straightforward it was for nations to try becoming “best friends” after the end of WWII. …. consider, for example, poland re germany, the yugoslavian mess, east v west germany, fascism in spain and greece, enduring chinese /british / malaysian sentiment towards japan, etc.

probably over a million combined casualties so far, fighting across a 1000km frontline, the largest land war in europe since WWII, millions of people displaced, and it’s been going on for three and a half years so far — the “deluded” person is the one who thinks this is just a “small” military operation.

Put it this way……. if rampy nutters like b_positive are right that EUA’s licences are genuinely worth billions, then why haven’t they been snapped up over the last few years by a sovereign wealth fund (saudi, singapore, norway, etc) or someone like mr buffet?

—- none of them are under sanctions preventing them from buying shares in london listed companies, or preventing them from buying assets located in russia from a british company.

… i would agree that it *is* highly relevant for EUA’s prospects that its so-called assets are located in a country run by corrupt criminals who have no regard for fair and transparent property rights, and who shamelessly extort and steal from all and sundry who try to operate in russia.

…. but that’s about the kleptocratic regime of putin and his backers, not about what’s happening in ukraine. the country / jurisdiction risk for a UK AIM resource company in russia is massive, but that won’t change whether the war in ukraine finishes in 5 weeks or 5 years.

Magnum, putin’s war is just being used as an excuse by EUA and its rampers. it has made no difference whatsoever to the nature of EUA’s licences /“assets”, nor to the mining economics and financial viability of their projects.

there is no war in the kola, shares are still freely traded in london and astana, and EUA has had years to sell assets both before and during the war.

if EUA really did have very valuable, desirable assets, there are plenty of other wealthy people, companies and institutions (whether chinese, us, saudi, nordics, uk, etc etc ) who could have bought them regardless of putin’s war, even if a few fascist putin-loving russkie war criminal oligarchs couldn’t because of sanctions.
