… what they repeatedly try to play on is the memory that before the war, the share *price* here was a lot higher.
but price is not *value* — price is what someone pays, but value is what they get.
the share prices of companies like wirecard, enron, patisserie valerie, quindell, sirius, etc, etc, all used to be a lot higher.
but just because a company once had a massively overvalued share price doesn’t mean it will ever get back to such prices again.
