donald trump has very consistently been supporting putin’s regime against ukraine, and he continues to do so, very deliberately, persistently and mendaciously.

the supposed peace / mediation attempts by trump have simply been efforts by trump to stall, distract and disrupt other western powers as they try to support ukraine’s resistance, and buy more time and leeway for putin to continue his war to utterly destroy ukraine as an independent entity.

in doing this, trump is consistently acting against america’s own long best interests. he is betraying his own allies, but is also working from within to undermine the USA and promote putin’s agendas. just why trump is acting so treacherously against his own country, over and over again, we can only speculate.

Point about free media in the democratic west, wilco, is you get lots of choice what you can read, watch, and contribute to … some of it good, some middling, some of it bad, but you can access multiple different sources with variety of views and analysis, and you won’t get beaten to death, locked up or defenestrated just for what you read. that has value.

Crypto, if you want a giggle about gecko’s hindsight trading, just take a look at -

(a) his posts on wsbn back in mid-july, when he was ramping it in the 0.6s, then announcing top-ups in the mid 0.4s,

but then (b) with his last post on wsbn, gecko announced on 30/7 at 08:48 that he had sold out of wsbn a week before, because he had “past experience” of companies who are on social media and tweet too much.

… and now, lo and behold, gecko claims to be busy making money on the share he’d sold out of after losing a pile on it.

Question would be, how much does russian state charge for each/any licence extension granted?

(costs matter, and if the sites have any potential value, it seems rather unlikely imo that putin would give extra licence years away for free.)

AIX listing perhaps partly to do with marketing to get that chunky placement away at a slightly more pumped up price… & to give the BoD their due, some punters fell for it, placing succeeded, so nice tactic.

possibly also precautionary measure in case they lose the AIM listing, or decide to leave london to lower costs?

Worth bearing in mind, it would be rather uncommon for an entity like the russian state to agree licence extensions without demanding additional payments for that, the level of which would also depend on how potentially valuable the licences are perceived to be.

(gecko, the issue is not whether or not another poster is “sympathetic” to me or not, it’s about the points raised in relation to this company and its underlying markets.)

I think you’ve asked about that before, halfpennies. but it seems no one on this chatboard ever wants to think about that topic.

ramper peeps here like to bang on about how all the metals are still in the ground … but (a) they are still in the ground because it is too expensive to dig ‘em up, and EUA loses more money when they actually try to mine, but also, (b) EUA does *not* actually own the metals in the ground … they just have the rights to try to extract whatever is there *for a limited number of years*, after which the licences are up for grabs again (don’t all rush folks!). …

… so with each year that passes by with CS picking his nose and failing to sell anything, the value of the licenses falls via time decay , and the economics of trying to mine deteriorate.

… there’s been zero evidence they’ve ever had any proper firm offers at all, let alone shared any information with their shareholders and the market about what price might have been offered and for what. so there is no rational way to assess the answer to Icarus’ question.
