(? a bit to do with different people’s ideas about what constitutes ‘trolling’?

from my perspective, these boards are for folks to share thoughts / ideas/

info about shares, BoDs and markets, whether that’s positive or negative

in relation to a share. but some folks tend to see any sceptical comments

about a company they have invested in as trolling and resort to personal

insults and abuse etc, which is actually what i would see as ‘trolling’, lol!)

i used to work for a fairly well known investment bank as a market maker in

OTC FX options, but that was a very long time ago (back in the 1980s). i believe

jaknife also worked in investment banking, but i suspect in a rather different

kind of role, & i don’t know at all for how long/when he was doing that stuff.

Hi notspartacus, i don’t know jaknife personally, and have never met

him nor corresponded with him individually. but i have come across

him on various share chat boards, and generally i read his posts with

interest and i think he often makes well informed and sensibly reasoned

posts which are way more financially literate than many others. i believe

that he and i probably used to work in the same/similar kind of industry

a long time ago, but don’t know whether or not we overlapped at all.

[PS denzal used to claim, without citing evidence, that amit is a billionaire.

so if anyone feels the urge to put right anything that’s gone wrong, to salve

family honour etc, presumably amit could just give the money back himself?]

£x for each and every share that they hold by XYZ date.” - only

that ‘proceedings’ will be ‘distributed’ by ‘appointed agents’.

Rktech, i thought you would remember, i have already speculated

before on this chatboard about some possible reasons for amit

putting out the kind of statements he does. those views unchanged.

respectfully, rktech, i suppose you & i will just have to agree to disagree

about that announcement on 5/5. presumably it was meant to be “the

announcement for its DaaP sale”, & certainly some posters on this board

seem to accept it as such. but it really didn’t read that way to me. put it

this way; - what did anyone learn from that ‘update’ about the nature of

the DaaP asset, what it does, who is buying it, when, on what terms, etc. ?

i think he remains very vague about payments etc. sure, he’s given yet

another date by which there will be further settlement info published.

that’s specific. ? but why on earth didn’t he just state on 5/5 who those

appointed agents are, how much cash each shareholder will receive,

what the mechanism for that will be, costs, specific timescale & dates

for payment, etc etc. …it’s not like someone has suddenly snuck up

on cloudtag & taken them by surprise last week with an offer where

they haven’t had time to work out any of the details. cloudtag’s been

boasting / hinting / carrot-dangling about this for a year - year and

a half … but still leaving it incredibly vague what is actually going on.

? may i ask, did you think yourself that the statement

on 5/5 was a clear “announcement for its DaaP sale?”

Cloudtag website: “… the announcement for

its DaaP sale will be made by the 5th of May 2023.”

cloudtag did make another announcement on 4/5, but that only said

that they would publish info re “financial settlement process” by 16/5.

to me, that does *not * sound like an “announcement for its DaaP sale”, so

in my book that was another broken (half-) promise. but that’s always been

one of CTAG’s methods, putting out vague / ambiguous statements. jmo.

i think the possible outcomes are asymmetric.

if amit has (- this time round at least- ) been honest & genuinely has sold some

secretly developed tech/IP for loads of money, then holders will know that for

sure as they will presumably receive large amounts of cash by a specific date.

but if on the other hand amit has just been spinning the story out yet more

(for reasons that have already been speculated about plenty of times on this

chatboard), then i don’t believe he will actually say, “sorry, i messed up, cloudtag

is done, there will be no payout, game over”. instead there would imv just be yet

more carrot dangling, can kicking, thanks for shareholders for their patience, etc.

20:59, that was years ago. i doubt that TW has the slightest interest

in cloudtag these days. ? why would he care one way or the other?

(mind you, i am not a sharepuppets subscriber, so if someone

else who is cares to point out any recent articles or comments

by TW then i would be happy to stand corrected about that.)

VR, i would be surprised and intrigued.

(assuming that it’s not just a nugatory payout, or a supposed

payout that is repeatedly delayed so it never really arrives, or

comes with expensive strings attached via e.g. admin fees

/ requirements to subscribe to a new equity vehicle, etc, etc.)

Unlike amit, the brother wasn’t a waste of space. if the family

had really been trying to help expunge the shame of having amit

for a relative (…which frankly is at the whackier end of chatboard

pi fantasies…) i doubt they would have taken 6 years to help out.

hi blue, i’ll politely disagree with what i view as some rather
crude cultural stereotyping of israeli people. but you are of
course entitled to whatever theory you like. if you are right
that amit’s family is coughing up a quarter of a billion for pis
because they think he’s been a naughty boy, that would be a
nice result for everyone, wouldn’t it? - & cheap at the price!

i can’t see any reason why amit’s antics with cloudtag would have
any reputational repercussion for his brother or anyone else in his
family. cloudtag has been nothing to do with them, so far as I’m
aware. this one’s been all down to amit, whether good or bad.

if amit genuinely had developed some valuable tech / IP and had then
negotiated a deal over last one to one & a half years, with ‘all processes
completed’ etc., it makes no sense why he should not have been able to
inform shareholders way before this with clear, specific info re amounts,
payment methods & criteria, and dates and timescales long ago (even if
for whatever reason, reputational risk, commercial competition, etc. the
supposed buyer has been ashamed /worried to let their name become
public.). amit has had loads of time to sort it out & to explain it clearly.

re 03:27, i haven’t seen any/many posts saying that it’s *impossible* for amit
to have secretly developed very valuable tech hidden from any public sight,
and to have sold it for loads of money. the issue is more about what is *likely
versus unlikely*, & what is supported by independently verifiable evidence,
versus what is based only on amit’s say-so (which ain’t worth much, imho.)

it will be interesting to see who these “appointment agents” are, and how
they will be paid for that role. hopefully holders will not be asked to attend
a 7am meeting in person in the caymans with their share certificate in order
to qualify (! just joking guys! - i was thinking back to that meeting they called
on the isle of man (or was it IOW?) where they took a vote on show of hands
of the few who had managed to get there, when brokerman had worked very
hard on CTAG chatboard to persuade pis it wouldn’t be important to attend.)
