EUA has never claimed that its sale is unaffected by sanctions.
…only that EUA’s *strategy* was unaffected by the sanctions.
but strategy & anticipated/likely outcome(s) are very different issues.
… continuing with the same strategy, despite putin’s war & the sanctions, does not necessarily mean that the company still genuinely believes [- nor that the market will ever deliver! -] that their unchanged strategy will have the same chances of success, to a similar valuation, to a similar timeline, then they aimed for previously.
it might be they still keep using *the same strategy*, but with that much less likely to succeed, might take a lot longer, and might end up with a much, much lower sale price [if ever].
[sporting analogy: if I plan to use a ‘chip and charge’ strategy against some ordinary opponent in a local club tennis tournament, but on the day, holy ****, it’s nadal that turns up to play again me, well, i might still choose to use that same chip and charge strategy, but my actual chances of a successful outcome will look pretty p*** poor at that point.]
me, i think EUA’s actual chosen strategy has always been to claim that it is about to deliver an exciting asset sale in order to keep the plates spinning and the pis ramped up, but then to raise more money and sell shares to keep paying out to the various noses in the trough.
