Nothing in life is guaranteed, and global stock crashes can still do serious damage to any share of course, but this wave of bid chatter, and media coverage highlighting the excellent cash flow and solvency position of aviva, and its improved focus and effective leadership, should help to set a somewhat more resilient floor under the share.

interesting idea at 07:39 that the 16th is a typo, and this last update might just be amit trying to claim, “the buyer *had* told us that they were going to make an announcement by 6th”. … if so, that would be preparing a strategy of ‘blame the unreliable buyer, not amit’, and potentially set up a new game of ‘we need to raise some more funds to take legal action to force the buyer to pay up.’ — just a thought!

i doubt nato will be drawn into major direct involvement (nato doesn’t want it, china doesn’t want it, russians know it would be suicidal for them).

i doubt the russkies will relinquish voluntarily.

… but i very much, very much doubt that the ukrainians will be even remotely prepared to accept any kind of “normalisation” with the invaders and murders for a very, very long time. so i think there will be a prolonged, nasty, frozen stalemate — ‘frozen’, but still with many people getting killed, abducted, assassinated [think mossad style reprisals] etc — for decades to come.

given the cultural and physical genocide planned and already attempted by putin and his collaborators, and the vast tally of rapes, murders, mutilations, enforced transhipment of populations, separation of children from families, torture and destruction already perpetrated by the russians against the ukranian people, they aren’t about to enter into “peace and normalisation” with putin and russia for a generation+.

and if a sizeable portion of ukraine does end up being lost to russia for the longer term, there will be substantial escalation in armaments etc along all the nato countries bordering putin’s empire, as poland , moldova, finland, baltics etc, will not want to be the next to fall in the expansion of putin’s empire, regardless of whether or not the yanks retreat into isolationism or downright autarky.

i think you’re a bit confused. *amit* HAS already made multiple announcements to say that cloudtag has completed a sale of the ‘DaaP’ ( - albeit without ever once describing or demonstrating what this is is).
