the chart thing works with the robotic trading - all the data the robots are utilising is in the charts... just slightly more complex algorithms... one of the fundamentals going into those algorithms are 9 and 26 day trades which is a good starting point.
If you want to have a nice afternoon looking at a nice chart on synairgen though, just draw a rolling 200 hour chart. That will make you all feel good):

Mr Big et al... i dont get something... what am i missing... 3M clearly making the best mask for the entire global healthcare community - they must be making zillions of them. Tons of publicity. Why is their share price down compared to when pandemic started? Dont get it. Stop 99% of virus so we'd all have them i guess if we could so??? looks pretty solid to me?

its kind of interesting... 2 weeks ago, i set up a watchlist of 66 (LOL) companies who were applying to do things with Covid or in the fringes eg suppliers around it. That list has now kind of split into two of its own accord - those on a tear due to actually having some data / contract / news versus the others. So there are a handful on a tear upwards as they actually have something and the ii's dont want to miss the boat but probably dont want all eggs in one basket so are probably creating (like Woodford did) a portfolio of a few of them in case a couple go tits up. So whilst we watch this run upwards, would be interested in view of adding Genedrive alongside it - 9 day just flipped upwards over 26 day and is into testing kits for India - and before you get inf beta i presume you have to test someone....? Any views?

Good to see you had confidence in the LTS's.... i've held for 5 years and had given up on them and they lay languishing for several years until i got (very) lucky.... Its kind of easy to fall into the trap when something goes supremely well to fall into the trap of thinking one is a genius when actually, one is reasonably adept or even average and got lucky as well.

Second one very interesting thanks... sounds like biogen or merck are most likely to be interested in securing the supply of inf beta at least for us market. Sounds like biogen could simply be a supplier and would in that way make the profit, as I cant see governments allowing these companies with life saving treatments to make zillions. The suppliers to the Product though - i think they will make dosh.

Thanks... im thinking if merck are the leading inf beta supplier having merged with schering, then it would make sense for them to buy the access to the patent at least for the usa, or indeed the company but they might not need to buy the company... the multiple pharmas referred to by rm could be eg merck for the us patent, company in china to take control of patent for china, etc etc.

or was it schering i meant to say before Merck merger? Or is it still biogen or Or or Or ???

replying to Mr Big... my experience says i dont think the big pharma cos will make a ton of profit on this sort of stuff - the governments etc will cut everything to the bone. However, the guys that make the dosh are the downstream suppliers... so if philips makes the neb, who is supplying the INF beta? Does anyone know> as IMHO, they are the guys who will rake it in. Is it Schering? Anyone know?

i think this is dream land...if we all went out like normal just cos we knew our back was covered, we'd all have massive issue as in short order pretty much the only anti-viral would become pretty useless as (all) viruses would get used to getting round it. Interferon beta will never be taken like aspirin. So if you are eg 30 you can go out on the razzle then give virus to your dad and tell him its ok as he can dose up on what is a pretty strong anti viral drug. This is not going to happen...

who are the suppliers of interferon beta?

seems a bit unlikely to me... CFO was selling vectura at 88p in June so that would have been a bit daft unless they suddenly saw a vision a week ago to buy the company which seems unlikely to me..

Tils is ok.. its hovering round its 26 day ave which is probably where it should be and where it would be before it went stupidly exponential but the underlying trend looks intact? Dont know anything about Farn. Orph is also hovering round its 26 day ave and also ok - only come down as it went outside 3 std devs upwards and just back on its support line upwards as far as i can see. Vectura 9 day went over 26 day on 8 aug so i bought it then. Circassia crossed today. DDDD crossed 23 july.

well maybe they are taking over circassia, dddd, seres and god knows what else as well as they've all just popped up 10%+ in last hour... maybe the instits are thinking S&P is maxing out, FTSE maxing out, time to shift portfolios slightly. Whatever, looks weird to me.
