The virus seems to circulate in about 1-2% of the population. Back at the beginning, only those turning up at hospital were tested. Thus back in March when it said e.g. 1000 cases it really meant 100000 cases - it was just not recorded. So the number of cases is nowhere near the level it was in March right now.
But i'm getting really bored with everyone being so dull - isnt everyone else - nothing to talk about; virus replication rates peak between 2 and 8deg c so that will be interesting as we come into winter. Countryside rules over towns but it is dull isnt it?!? I've never grown so many veggies or eaten so much home made veggie soup in my entire life. I think if you are a COPD sufferer, Synairgen could be a very warm hug. But even so, hope life gees up a bit shortly. Never knew i had so many chores i have no interest in doing.

Isn't it strange what people see in videos... my initial thought was i wish they;d placed the camera angle right so his head didnt look such an odd shape!! But sounds all good to me and no sound of any warnings other than the mention of more dosh at some stage required. Changed my mind a bit listening to it...clearly at a minimum licensing deals with big pharma but also II's and funding so reading between lines does not sound as if its a buy out at this stage as the two would not go together and he clearly is keen on both. So does sound like they may do licensing deal and raise more dosh.
There were only 2 downsides in interview - all rest positive - a) raise funding and i think that is easier with large ii's to which he made reference and b) he rather discounted COPD and said their entire focus was on Covid... can see why but think i'd rather he had said... we hope to be back on COPD case in January or something similar, when the results are not altered by Covid.

glen dont think it will be a JV... sounds good in principle - i did one - but if you need funding, you lose control as you cant keep up with the partner funding it... and as soon as they disproportionately take control of the funding then they are assumed to own, so will in this case be advised, not to do one. They could sell out on an earn out over 5 years though to control risk of virus disappearing etc.

We'll see... all my Woodford not doing too bad now but had to dilute along the way to make it come good... he was doing the same but just ran out of liquidity i guess.
The biggest risk to Synairgen is lack of resource i think... have put a few people in touch who could help if this is the case, if they wanted. Very hard work to run a small company that suddenly explodes upwards. Knackering.

teh young might not get too many symptoms but the CT scans of their lungs are awful. They dont realise this and i think Boris would be well advised to warn the young of this.

my feel for a while is that this is ripe to get taken private by VC.
I dont think they can have had any significant major pharma offers as i think if they had they would be very hard to resist as founders would get £30m+ and could still look after their baby and i think for reasons of family, time etc etc and being in 70's etc difficult to say 'nah, i'll labour on...'. But i may be well be entirely wrong but i would have thought private VCs were looking at taking this off the market, funding and then selling on.

Synairgen is in discussions with a number of regulatory agencies worldwide to establish the regulatory route to the approval of SNG001 as a treatment for COVID-19 : to me this means exactly what it says: i.e. they are trying to find out exactly what they have to do to get approval. Was a bit disappointed they didnt already know this but hey ho.

We are also working closely with the Company's manufacturing partners on scale-up activity and will provide a further update on these matters in due course. I would have presumed they'd been doing this for at least 6 months i.e. talking to the germans and Philips so again i was a bit disappointed that given they must have been talking for weeks on this, they couldn't come out and say what they'd agreed. I think he has run out of time and needs help frankly - pulled in too many directions is my gut feel and he'd be well advised to bring in more help to progress faster.
Anyway thats my take - not negative but sounds to me like they lack resource to move faster.

Over 600 healthcare workers in UK have died. The figures are rising again - went to the pharmacy today and some daft bloke walked in, asked for some cough medicine, said his wife has a dry cough and they were on the way to go get a test. How selfish. I was furious. 4 pharmacists exposed, one of whom kept telling him he was meant to be isolating if his wife was sick and his reply was just " well i dont feel sick". So I think the NHS workers are going to be shortly grateful for all the treatments they can get.

Wasnt awfully keen on either! Corbyn would have been hopeless especially with his chancellor; Boris had his churchill moment in Feb and blew it; personally i wish we could have had Merkel or Ahern...

anything that goes outside its bollinger band will come back to within it... dont panic...go to investing.com, add the bollinger bands and you will see all is ok

random thought: last week July, i came up with 50+ Euro pharma companies and 50 USA all doing something covid related. Set up on a watchlist: the European / Uk ones are up 12.7% in a month; the USA ones have turned and are down 4.7%.... thought that was vaguely interesting, but maybe not to most people..

my sister is a teacher... they went back yesterday... her school requires her and all other teachers to now be locked down in their homes for 28 days as of yesterday so that if they catch off kids, they cant spread. They all seem to have agreed to do this. She has organised food deliveries to her home to comply.
