Well until a holdings RNS drops we may never know, however as I've previously said, I suspect there is someone/ii stake building for 2 or 3 days until the SP gets to high for their liking. Taking a breather for a day or two to lets some seller reduce the SP, then they return for some more. Bid over 38.5p as I write so we're already getting close to having another go at getting into the low 40's. Obviously I hope this continues.

It's not important for long termers as we have the eye on OM monies being added to Rocks account, Shenny progess reports, more snippets being found and posted by the forum sleths, and FID of course.

99icecream, yes I get the phycological round number resistance levels but I do think enough investors look at long term resistance/support levels to make them actual resistance/support levels. For example 15pence took over 2 years to break through decisively.

Ralph2010, prior to this rise we rarely had volume above a million/day, and some days less than 50k. Volume is often over 5million/day. It is possible all of that is pi's, however a HNWI or ii could accumulate 20million before needing to report so I am not discounting either of those being on a slow build mission.

It seems that roughly, we have a 4 or 5p rise, followed by a 50% retrace of that rise. The last one was bigger, as in a 7p rise and a 4p retrace. I don't see 40p as a particularly strong resistance point so BIG IF, the pattern continues, then we will probably be looking at the stronger 43/44p resistance level from back in the summer of 2018.

Get passed that and low 50's is a relatively easy run. However first we need todays rise to be the first of a few days ending perhaps around the 43/44p

However not sure which way the bid will finish today though. Break above 41 or slip to 39p, I'm thinking it will cling on to somewhere in the 40p zone, which will be a good position going forward.

Have some free time today and been watching the SP with interest. Earlier it had a pretty decent stab at breaking free of 40p, but sellers, or lack of buyers pulled it sub 40p again.

There's a nice tussle going on around 40p, however each time that happens there should be fewer sellers left.

Looks to myself at least, that 40p will be held and many of the sellers around this level are being cleared out. Might take a few days to get through 42/43p. Then again one bit of positive news and it'll probably sail through it.

40p is a psychological resistance, like 30p and 50p,

42 /43p is an actual resistance level, although not that strong.

Finishing anywhere in the 40's today will be a good day I feel, and if/when we clear 43p, then up to 50p should be a relatively easy run. Some resistance again at low 50's

I feel there is currently no connection with FID and the OM annulment case.

Why, well other than the reasonable $24m in Rocks bank balance, they also have a guaranteed, Eur 31 to 65million coming in. I would think Navitas would need, and be able to get the majority of the $1.4billion capex on debt finance, so say they could only get $1B, meaning the JV needed to find $400m. Rocks share would be $140m, but Navitas carry them for 2/3rds, leaving $46.6m needed by Rock.

With $24m in the bank, and a minimum Eur31m to Eur65m coming to their bank. Getting a loan secured against the OM award guarantee, would not be an issue.

Ombrina Mare Project Update

Further to the Company's announcement on 6 January 2016, the Company has been informed by the Ministry of Economic Development that, following the re-introduction of the ban on exploration and production activity within 12 nautical miles of the coast of Italy, the Production Concession covering the Ombrina Mare Field Area will now not be awarded. This is despite the Ombrina Mare project having completed all the required technical and environmental authorisations.

The Company retains its interest in the exploration permit covering the Ombrina Mare Field Area. An extension to the suspension of the Ombrina Mare exploration permit was recently granted to 31 December 2016.

The Company is now considering its options which include both a claim for damages and compensation against the Republic of Italy under International Treaties for the protection of foreign investments, and in particular the arbitration process provided for under the Energy Charter Treaty.

Bringing La India into Production

· Metals Exploration is targeting the commencement of production at La India by the end of 2026

· The Company is in final negotiations to purchase a second-hand plant to match the potential upside performance of 1,400 kilotonnes per annum (Ktpa) of ore

· It is anticipated that an engineering firm will be appointed in February 2025 to commence construction drawings

· Exploration drilling and definition drilling is expected to commence in April 2025

· Civil works are expected to begin in May 2025

To be fair to him Rot1, I think he was mostly trying to value Rock on the Sea Lion project, but yes, there are almost certainly billions of bbls on Rocks/Navitas's licences, as yet undiscovered and appraised.
