Great to hear BlooBird. I crossed that threshold around 15pence, after many years looking at a 5 figure loss. Its always good to hear when another investor has passed the breakevens point. Plenty of upside in Rock ahead, though some 'might' be being mildly optimistic again, cough StillNeedOil.

May I suggest as per last year a last guess date of approx. 15 Jan, give or take for a few stragglers.

Also any significant news prior to closing date means all guesses can be revised.

Finally I'd try and get unique guesses so either add an extra 0.5p to any guess the same, or ask them to submit a new guess.

I would recommend you just have the EoY predictions as first oil is quite a long way away and it makes the list messy, but it's your baby now :)

On a serious note. I agree Mr Moody does deserve much praise for getting us to this very positive position. There have been mistakes and bad luck, but he isn't God, however Rock are looking very investable for all the right reasons, and we all know Rock is right on the cusp of a stellar future as Navitas has consistently for 4 years, been banging the Sea Lion drum.

I will be gobsmacked if SL doesn't FID next year and that means the SP has plenty of upside from mid 20's.

With an SP of 25.1 to 26, mid is 25.55p. The closest guess to 25.55 by a whisker, is ......drum roll..... embarrassingly, ME. Sorry !! I beat Passive's 23p guess by 0.1p, BlueDefender's 22p took bronze.

The prize for winning is all your admiration at my almost Godlike predictive abilities, and to organise to do it all again for next year. I'll take a few people off filter in case they wish to partake. For now though, this years list is below and some of you should take a really long hard time, to reflect on your guesses :)

BTW, the Chinese new year on January 29 is the year of the Wood Snake, which signifies a time of Transformation and Growth.

A little known fact, is that in the Falkland Island, 2025 is the year of the Rockhopper, which also signifies a time of transformation and growth

it's just your calendar prediction may be wrong :) Last few hours of 24 before we know.

Unfortunately I'm working today so will miss most of whatever action there is. My prediction for 2025 is Rocks SP will do very well and those buying sub 30p will be wishing they'd bought many more. I'll do a new EoY soon so get those Mystic Meg balls out and have a think.

Thanks JEDR, for the transcript. Very interesting reading. I note this part seems to indicate they want assurances from FIG that they wont try the CONservative/Liebour strategy of taxing their oil resources and jobs to death. This is great for Rock as we wont be shafted either !

I can't even buy £40's worth under 26p at the moment.

This is a nice EoY rise and I suspect it was the very positive words about Sea Lion being FID'd after Shendoah comes on stream, as seen from from Navitas's Gideon yesterday. Strong evidence, if anymore was needed, that Sea Lion production IS going to happen.

EoY bragging rights are currently in my hands, but I wouls love to lose it to someone above me.

Morning LTT, I'm certainly, but honestly talking up the SP, however I need the mid price to be above 25.5 to win so I hope I win that pint. I've never been to a Rock AMG but could make an exception for that drink :)

Nastynick, there are some like us with a relatively high holding, and some with even more!! 50p is certainly possible but I'm not expecting that for a few months I feel, at the earliest.

Top slicing is a good strategy, however it depends on the situation.

Rock/Navitas are still looking at a significant upward rerating I feel, and it is too early to take money off the table for me.

There might be an upside limit before FID, but we aren't close to it yet imo, and I still think we have a HNI or institution accumulating in the background.

With 24 hours to go I might win the EoY guess after all :)

Morning Silverfoil13, no paper it is a lot of money, however I remind myself Navitas are impressive and they signed Heads of Terms to farm in for 30 per cent interest in the Sea Lion when oil was approx. $60/bbl back in 7 January 2020. They upped that to 65% 2 years later and have spent 10's x $millions so far and see $2.6billion profits coming their way.

FID is all but certain to happen in 2025, unless the Shenny FPSO sinks, so selling means I will be chuck some profits away. On a risk v reward basis, t's logical for me to try to keep all my shares at least until FID.

With 500,000 shares, which I could sell the lot at 23.4p currently, I previously I have suggested I planned to top slice (nice to be able to say that on the Rock forum) 10,000 shares at certain price points. Despite the 10pence rise, so far I haven't been able to do that as the news flow looks to positive to sell any.

The OM award drama, whether Euro 30 or 65m, will be good to be over and money banked and Navitas's Shendoha field now appears to be linked to SL FID, so progress there is worth watching. Lots of good news flow expected next year so selling before FID, which is all but a racing certainty, seems premature. For now, I've decided to try and keep hold of all my shares until FID.

I can't even sell or buy £50 ! Think we could be on another blue day :)
