Hi Covgaz, I don't think so. It has been long known that Rock insured to get either a $31 to $64m(?) pay out once the decision is made. This rise seems a direct result of Navitas's update I feel.

Hi Marunam2, I've always had faith Sea Lion would eventually get developed, I remember someone saying years ago 250MMbbls don't go undeveloped. However the risk was always when, and how much it would cost Rock to survive to that point.

As it turns out it was many years of frustration, but the cost to Rock and it's shareholders doesn't look too bad at all. SM has navigated Rock to a point where Rock will almost certainly have all the funds to pay to first oil. I hope and believe if people hold those shares a little longer, 12months, there will be scores of posts from long termers saying 'Wow, in profit after 10 years'.

Hi Auson, indeed, it seems there is a decent appetite for Rock shares. Don't sell imo, the best shareholder returns are highly likely to be coming soon.

The SP has turned upward quickly and apart from the great news of winning the OM award, this is the most significant break of the 15 pence resistance this decade !! Recent volume is up, 5m give or take, but nowhere near the 40m on the OM win.

On a personal note, I went into profit a few days ago by a whooping £60 or so, after a decade in loss. However a few days later and I'm now £8,000 in profit, and could have sold 500,000 for 16.35p at the close.

Patience can pay off. Not selling though 👍

Afternoon LTT and Ovets, I'm not convinced there is an arbitrary minimum $100m ii investment limit, although I often have heard it being said. Why $100m, why not 0m,$125, $150, $200m?

FWIW I feel this recent rise is just down to more buyers following on from the recent media coverage, extra 100MMbbls C2, Navitas announcing a FDP in another area and the rightly imo, firming of the belief we will see FID and production from the Falklands.

We are still very much at the train in station stage, but the SP is starting to reflect the logical belief, that its definitely going to depart.

The end of year SP predictions winner is less predictable now :)

I doubt ICSID will be very leaky Leeds5, more likely a wider new investor pool, possibly a HNW individual or ii accumulating, or a firmer belief that Navitas are 100% committed. Whatever it is, we may thankfully have seen the last of sub 15pence forever.

A regular reminder of why to keep your Rock shares.

If phase 1 production average is 50,000b/d (55k is the plan atm)

and Opex costs are $17/bbl

The maths with POO at $65bbl and Opex costs at US$17

50,000bbls x $47 = $2.35M revenue per day,

Say 345 days production a year to allow for down time = $810million gross profit a year

Royalty on turnover is 9% so $737m before tax

( Corp Tax is 26% after the $700m tax we have to write off )

700m with no tax, plus 37m with 26% corp tax, is 727m net profit

35% of 727 is $254m net Rockhopper profit after 12 months.

Year 2 with 50k/d. 50,000 x $47 x 345days = 737m

minus royalty = 920m,

minus corp tax = 545m,

35% to Rock is $190m net

A reminder that Rocks eventual share of costs to first oil is estimated at $490m

Also at 55k bbls/day for 345ays/yr and with 2c of 319MMbbls in phase 1 and phase 2,

it will be 16 years, or 2053, before just the first oil fields is the Falklands exhausted !!!

By a huge £36, on 500,000 shares after 14 years !!! LOL

Clearly not in profit when considering inflation, however it feels nice and I see many reasons to believe I will make a very substantial profit as we get OM money, FID, news of rig, wells drilled and general progress Sea Lion towards first oil.

I wont be accepting 30p, 40p. Perhaps 50 or 60p in this imaginary take over would get my interest as it's retire early figurers.

However the real value for shareholders I feel, is in hanging on to as many shares as you can for first oil, and then reaping a decent dividend and further capital gains as the basin gets explored/developed.

The last 15 years have been a very long and very frustrating aperitive, but the exciting spicy main meal is nearly ready to be served. Also good to see GB News and others giving Falkland oil some coverage, that might result in some new investors, and with luck lets get 15p behind us for good !

An additional partner(s) has always been a possibility but I've seen no hard evidence of one yet.

Getting the FDP approved in principle and the EIS well received, are definite positives. As is the firming up of the wee discussed FPSO.

Just a little longer to wait, and a positive OM outcome may give us a nice Christmas present we all deserve for being so patient !

2c increased from 791 to 917, an increase of 126million bbls recoverable

Pre 1st oil increased $200m to $1.4billion

Production breakeven/Per barrel cost life of field, reduced $1/bbl. Saves $917m on all 3 phases. Not to be sniffed at !!

Drilling an extra well to 6 now, pre first oil. Number of wells phase 1 remains the same at 11.

FID slips 6 months and scheduled now for mid 2025

First oil slips 12 months to end of 2027

It’s disappointing to have a 6month FID delay and 12 months delay to first oil, however it is not entirely unexpected. What is good is the progress made towards FID and Navitas’s continued commitment and positive expanded development. Just the news of the OM ICSID decision to come hopefully near term, then a wait until summer for FID.

If HUM are were shovelling through the g/t 1.88 and 2.64 in Q3,

then that doubles Oz produced even without increasing mill throughput !

Jesus, now ramping 1.5g/t higher than actual ! !

Look HUM might have achieved that in Q3 but keep your feet on the ground and await until they RNS it ok.

You suggest HUM should be doing 1g/t more. Perhaps, but stop ramping!

I'll do my calculations on reported 2.64g/t until HUM report otherwise.

During the quarter, 1,281,654 BCMs were mined at an average grade of 2.64 grams per ton

· Post-period, mining operation reaching c.30,000 BCMs per day and the commissioning of the fresh rock plant increasing the blending of high-grade fresh ore feed into the plant, which continues to operate at or above design.

The problems seem to be mining volumes Punter, not fundamental.

In Q3 they have achieved double the monthly average mined BCM, equal to 2.7m BCM, than they did per month in Q2.

For reference at Yani Q2 2021, they did 2.7m BCM, ave g/t 2.14 and produced 24.4k oz

All things being equal, Kouroussa should have done 15k minimum in Q3, perhaps 20k+

Just to change the broken record of a aimless needy person fishing for, and getting disruption, here with two months to go, are the end of year predictions from January. I personally think with a positive OM RNS and another Eur65million banked that Passive, BlueDefender or R1234 might win, but hope its Stillneedoil :-)
