In my opinion, Echoes is a very disruptive element to this board often throwing in little gems like that. One minute positive and then next next in the extremely negative. Often with no substance behind his/her comments. A large pinch of salt is required.

So, call me cynical or suspicious, but the flurry of buys on Monday/Tuesday would appear to be on the back of someone with knowledge that an RNS was to be lodged this week. I wonder if those investors now have an eggy face given the nature of yesterday's RNS ? Still hoping for our substantial news update though - exciting times ahead !

Hi strontium - "Could easily get cancelled like the 400k trade!" - out of interest then could this be a potential mechanism for getting the SP to drop and then pop in some chunky buys on the dip and in the meantime the 250k is cancelled ?

Echoes - "Clues are all there" - what exactly is your agenda ? For goodness sake, this is a forum - if you have you view on the "clues" why not spell them out for discussion. It's as if you're some sort of insider with knowledge testing your fellow posters - tedious ! That link was posted on iii earlier today. Personally, I think it's time for me to bow out from this board for a while until there is an RNS from AFC. If, as stated by the new chairman, future RNS' are to be accurate and material then I see little point in second guessing where AFC might or might not be heading next with circular discussions. It serves little or no purpose IMO. My thanks however to BumbleB and others who attended the AGM and provided us all with an insight to where we currently are. We've definitely had the wool pulled over our eyes over the past 2 or 3 years and that is not a satisfactory position for us PIs. A position that I hope the new Chairman is committed to resolving. I tend to agree with Desertwolf on iii board that if we were that close to commercialisation we should be being bombarded with accurate and material RNS' - that is not to say that this could happen at any point, especially if a phased approach to getting to 4 year longevity is an option. I suspect however that commercialisation will take longer than everyone hopes but in fact, the time taking for AFC to get there would be no different to any other ground breaking complex new tech.

BITTERBLUE1 what a crazy thing to say - you're suggesting all start up companies are a commercial, profit making body from Day 1 ? We know we're on a path to commercialisation and we know this takes time (as frustrating as that is). I am as concerned as everyone else that we seem to have been subject to some unrealistic targets etc. Of course it's costing us money - they need to get to a commercial, working product that can be taken to market - thank goodness DeNora were around to take us on as they can clearly see potential on the product. With their expertise it seems we are capable to becoming commercial. Maybe they will have a vested interest in AFC in the form of a stake, time will tell. Whilst a sobering AGM, I am feeling more comfortable with the new approach by the new board members.

Echoes - I would disagree - we haven't seen a significant change in major investor share holdings - I suspect they would have made moves if they were unhappy with progress by now so your theory is unfounded in my view. I would agree however that news from AFC is limited and that is a major cause of frustration to us PIs. Either the lid is going to blow off this pressure cooker in the coming weeks/months or something strange is happening and the major shareholders are not voicing their concerns. Either way, something has to happen and let's hope it's good news to come in the coming weeks.

I don’t get this thread guys. Why wouldn’t AFC be calling the shots. It’s our company, our tech. DeNora are acting as consultants with an interest in our tech ad there are potential business opportunities that could/will benefit both companies ultimately.

AFC have a stake in W2T of course and Howard White is heavily invested in AFC (original founder? , can't remember). Mr White clearly sees an opportunity right now seeing that China are refusing to take UK plastic & used tyres. This will be good for AFC ultimately as the PHE units (once at commercial scale) can be used to generate Hydrogen.

Hi cheekyboy - this sounds a tad strange- maybe here is a loop hole that allows them to do this ? You would hope as it's just a swap of assets from one pot to another, it would be a fee based service where they could charge a flat rate or %'age in shares. Might be worth threatening with FCA as it sounds poor conduct to me. I'm literally around the corner from HL head office - if the same had happened to me I'd be knocking on their door but I'm fully ISA'd right now

So we have a highly technical company that relies on metrics, repeated testing and results, iterations of design over a number of years and they state "majority" are complete - so, do we need all of PLACE or not to go forward ?.---the suggestion is that we don't or that we can proceed to market as either what has been achieved is good enough or the remaining items can be completed in the run-up to finalising baseline product and/or contracts

I must admit I was surprised to see some things acknowledged as completed in the annual accounts - why didn't they RNS the individual areas (such as PLACE) as complete with some metrics that would have signalled to the market that achievements have been met with full glory. As I've stated previously, I'd like to see a milestone approach (not necessarily with hard dates as that can send the wrong message if they are not met for any number of valid reasons). Ten at least we'd know what's on plan to be achieved. Maybe the next goals are literally: "we have a 10Kw system ready for market" "we have a 240kw system ready for market" "we have a manufacturing partner and associated contract in place" "we have a contract in place with XYZ"

So we're back to 10p - how depressingly like groundhog day. Is the SP ever going to move in a positive direction again ? It don't foresee any new news appearing ahead of the AGM, so the AGM will purely be an overview of the previous year's accounts (as it should be). However, in the meantime, more time is passing and we're into Q2 already. Apologies, I'm back to work after a week off and fed up of seeing the SP lingering at 10p when all this de-risked potential is there.

Sturmtrupper - I'm afraid I'm putting you on ignore as of now. You're quite entitled to post any views you feel are appropriate on here however, I for one get bored with relentless personal attacks on individuals. It's tedious and quite frankly why would a BoD provide more info to PIs when they are bombarded with abusive remarks like this? You are not going to change anything at AFC so either accept the way the company is being run currently or sell up and invest elsewhere.
