and to answer your question - service stations, retail parks, supermarkets as was stated in the RNS - places where you'd park up fro an hour easily

Agreed totally DW - I'm not against solar at all, just the manner it is rolled out. I firmly believe there should be a lot more subsidies for domestic and commercial uses. Solutions where the panels are less obtrusive such as integrated into roof tiles rather than unsightly panels - if the cost is reduced by firstly introducing subsidies to bring development costs down then building practices will change quickly. Equally, forcing companies where they have large roof spaces to use panels would a) reduce capital expenditure, b) reduce CO2 emissions. All practical ways to quickly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions on a massive scale - yes it will cost money but equally it will create jobs and help towards emission targets - just my opinion of course

I still can't belive the hydrogen economy is being talked down still. When you look at wind and solar (yes they have a place) but maintenance and location of these must be incredibly high and we're not a sunny country ! Seeing our old farmland being filled with solar panels is unsightly and short termism. We need our farmland more than ever for growing crops and reducing the need to import from the world over.

I see massive potential with systems that create local power as a) feedstock such as domestic and industrial waster can be sourced locally, in turn cleaning up the environment, b) less infrastructure to create or maintain to distribute the power, c) more demand based and less reliant on wind and sun.

Tidal power is another abundant and untapped power source that needs investment. The decision not to proceed with the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon was disturbing ! Hopefully it will be resurrected by other means and discussions are taking place but what a missed opportunity by this government ! As well as creating electricity twice a day it could also be used to create stored hydrogen for all the uses we have been discussing on this board. We need a government with vision and the guts to do something radical that will show the world something can be done and to the benefit of the economy. Sadly, we do not have any of these qualities in wither of the major "credible" parties at this time.

Good point DW - this is a very good off-grid solution that happens to help car charging. The H2 source would be a large fixed tank to enable car charge volumes. If you then move the unit to remote areas, the concept is exactly the same - you have a tank of H2 to keep topped up (e..g mobile phone masts, building sites, off-grid housing schemes etc) Once you complete the loop with filling those H2 tanks (e.g. by filling from a lorry, or ammonia or PHE DMG) then you're laughing.

Also, once they crack how H2 can be distributed safely vi the existing gas network there is no reason why these units couldn't be used in everyday applications such as office/factory/retail park/homes for self generation ?... I've gone completely blue sky there :D

In line with my message the other day, now that we have a tangible product, an updated website would be a good next move - I'd like to see what the new CH2ARGE unit looks like and a demonstration of how it will work and look in a live situation - this could be an animation perhaps but at least a picture of the unit as it will look when someone buys/leases one of these.

What we're talking about is Shetland could potentially have" free" electricity in the form of stored Hydrogen and used as a battery in conjunction with AFC Fuel cells based on using he curtailed wind energy from the wind farms

I always knew that getting to a commercial position would take time and determination but I honestly thought we'd get more news along the way to provide confidence that we are indeed heading to commerciality. I would favour the milestone approach again with positive RNSs stating that we have reached specific goals. I'm sure the SP would not be languishing at this pitiful level if that happened in my opinion.

It needs to be the commercial website which provides everything potential customers and investors need to know that will make AFC the No. 1 choice for fuel cells in the burgeoning hydrogen economy. For a start, a website needs to clearly articulate intended markets, products available, potential efficiencies of each product variant(any stats need to be backed up with evidence), manufacturing partnership to provide confidence that delivery can be met.

In terms of updated website, is that what would happen first in reality or would a double RNS happen? - the first to update the market on progress followed by another RNS to issue the new website. Otherwise, we'd be in a situation where the website is more up-to-date than the market - just a thought

I was quite shocked before Christmas - I was walking along a blue flag beach that looked amazingly clean. After closer inspection, walking along the tide's reach I saw a small piece of fishing net so picked it up and placed in a doggy poo bag. By the time I'd reached the end of the beach, I'd more or less filled up that bag with very small pieces of plastic, or net, or tangled fishing line. Incredible that I'd collected this much unobtrusive material in such a short time !
I have to say it's very satisfying also and something I would encourage everyone to do. Together, we can all make a huge difference !

You would hope that they'd have been reasonably accurate at the time as they're much closer to AFC management than any of us PIs. That suggests to me that things must have got pretty sticky with elements of the design as we're still no further forward other than still waiting for a positive update on the previous commercial update RNS.

Well, if anyone is thinking of jumping on board then surely now is an ideal opportunity ? Huge number of buys and the price has barely budged - someone is loading up or there's a leaky roof at Dunsfold towers

So, the price starts racing a few days ago on little volume and when we get volume buys, the SP remains stagnant or decreases slightly - I smell a rat !
