Good point DW - this is a very good off-grid solution that happens to help car charging. The H2 source would be a large fixed tank to enable car charge volumes. If you then move the unit to remote areas, the concept is exactly the same - you have a tank of H2 to keep topped up (e..g mobile phone masts, building sites, off-grid housing schemes etc) Once you complete the loop with filling those H2 tanks (e.g. by filling from a lorry, or ammonia or PHE DMG) then you're laughing.
Also, once they crack how H2 can be distributed safely vi the existing gas network there is no reason why these units couldn't be used in everyday applications such as office/factory/retail park/homes for self generation ?... I've gone completely blue sky there :D
