In addition Banana it’s holiday season and we’re still battling with the pandemic. Shares will be played with during holiday season and it’s notoriously quiet.

AB does have a very relaxed style. My only criticism is the excessive use of “ummm” in interviews. For someone in that position it doesn’t come across well in my opinion. A small point that can easily be remedied I’m sure

So let’s everyone just talk this down and satisfy the shorters. AB has stated that sales don’t just happen overnight! The Extreme EV deal has taken 6 months. There’s no reason not to assume that other potential deals are happening behind the scenes. I’ve said it before and will say it again that none of us know what goes on behind the scenes so I agree Red_hornet.
But it’s so boring seeing the same old posters talking this down and then, when it suits it’s sunshine and light again. Tedious beyond!
I just hope that there are other deals being worked on right now, otherwise no need for £32m in the bank. That fills me with more confidence!

Daz - all markets should be future potential markets for AFC. Data centres / hospitals etc have back-up facilities in place to switch over when the site becomes..... off grid ! It's just a different type of off grid.

So why constantly bash a share you've taken an interest in and naturally want it to succeed, not kn**** it at every opportunity ? Again, perverse in my view.

Daz - spectators will quickly switch off if the cars can’t get charged! AFC have a huge part to play in the Extreme E challenge. If their fuel cells fail, the race doesn’t go ahead.

More buys than sells? 7.5% drop seems crazy

This is where AFC marketing really has to kick in now. We have the solutions. We have the funding to provide warranty. Now is our moment to get us to pole position as the diesel genset replacement solution of choice!
The same applies for EV charging.

I very much hope our new sales guys are hot footing over to JLP - we previously had an MoU with JLP years ago so they know about AFC. Now however, we have solutions that will be able to power their EV fleet as well as their depots !

Hi Beach. Yes, I’ve been with them about a year now. They’ll be wanting to diversify
I think if the cost of of roof tile photovoltaics can come down, I think home energy generation is good way forward also. Maybe one day electrolysis costs will also come down and we’ll be generating electricity via fuel cells at a local level perhaps ? I really do think the opportunity for change in energy production could be quite radical. Rather than huge power stations distributing power (with associated inefficiencies in the grid), multiple localised power generation could produce clean energy near to where it’s needed. Existing oil companies could then become part of this network of local power plants. Imagine if we all had solar on our roofs feeding in also or storing the energy in batteries or as hydrogen. Food for thought :)

DW you’re obsessed with AB’s salary. Yes, it seems high, but don’t forget that he’s turned the company around when the original tech had to be redesigned. They’ve just raised over £30m. That says a lot about how the company now looks and the potential orders we need to prepare for. Those investors would not have invested so readily if they thought our CEO was not up to the mark.
Your post was clearly another attempted de-ramp. Boring in the extreme!

Hi klunk. You hit the nail on the head there I think. AFC would be a natural choice after going through their necessary due diligence. Seems that they must have been very impressed with what afc has to offer as well as turning around the electrolyser element so quickly during the pandemic. Excellent result!

1. Bigger batteries are very heavy to lug around?
2. Two power sources available to recharge? (It also mentioned wind so you could in theory take a mini wind turbine with you as well)
3. Demonstrates ability to generate the fuel the fuel cells use?

Interestingly, I’m on holiday for a couple of weeks to my home area of The Gower peninsula. The private cat park on Oxwich Bay now was 3 EV chargers. I wouldn’t know the configuration but anywhere relatively remote will require charging facilities going forward if we’re to reduce range anxiety when EVs are to become the norm. An AFC unit could easily be deployed and camouflaged with no requirement to upgrade the local grid. Very exciting opportunities for AFC in the EV area and equally exciting in the genset replacement space on building sites or event locations as we’re all aware. Fingers crossed that the media storm has finally gathered pace and further news on sales will be forthcoming.

AnneOwl - I’ve not seen much hypothesising today about the finer technical details. I’ve seen the RNS which discusses electrolysis by AFC. This is quite new for AFC I believe other than subtleties that Muscorum has pointed out from the website. I agree that we don’t have details that answer your questions. Similarly, I don’t believe today’s RNS should have included those details either. There must be a substantial benefit to producing H2 on site otherwise why bother developing such an add-on system? It further proves what breadth of technology we now have, to sell !

When I go to a restaurant, I don’t expect the menu to tell me exactly how the chef has cooked the dishes. I’m interested in the final result - how it tastes and was it worth the money I’ve paid.
Maybe the AFC website would be a good place to provide the granular details provided it doesn’t give away trade secrets.
I just feel you and others are hell bent on spinning negativity when today should be about celebrating success. Otherwise why invest here ?

On a separate note, we can all take responsibility for our local environments whether that is simply picking up plastic waste on beaches. If we all did this, no matter how small, the world we live in would be far safer for the fish, animals and plants that are unable or indeed should not clean up after us!

I don’t give a monkeys how many solar panels they need. I’m a shareholder and hope that both companies have decided the technical configurations to keep the races running. They’ve clearly been working on this for the past 6 months.
Why oh why don’t people take today’s news with some positivity. Fantastic publicity for the company I have shares in. OUR COMPANY!

AnneOwl. It’s a Par coup for AFC. 220 million potential EV consumers on a plate.

I would be surprised if all of this hasn’t been carefully thought through otherwise there’ll be a serious amount of eggy faces.
Similarly, given the green credentials of these companies, I would very much hope that the routes for the races have been carefully selected to minimise harm to the local environments but providing maximum excitement to the potential viewers. If EVs are to take off it’s events like these that will provide the glamour and advertising
