The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
DW you are outrageous! How can you come on here and say such a thing? Reported
1johntique - “constant references to RNS”. …Isn’t this our primary source of information coming out of AFC ? It’s a good job that people like alt take the time to actually read this information to prevent misinformation being spread.
There’s only one rat around here - maybe we should call you Roland.
Gitfinger- so the unit that has traveled around the world and powered all the series 1 races, under extreme weather conditions and produces enough electricity to power 300 homes is just a “statement of intent “ ?
You or I can only guess where ABB will implement an EV charging infrastructure. We know it has to happen as the uptake of EVs is clearly happening right now and limited by inability of car manufacturers to meet demand and exacerbated by the semiconductor shortage.
It is imperative that an EV charging infrastructure is planned for immediately and as we’ve all discussed previously, AFC/ABB can play a pivotal role in this with our off-grid capability. Remote/out of city locations will provide drivers with confidence that they can charge in any location of the country will be key to range anxiety confidence.
Yes of course data centres will be another key area of focus but that only goes to provide us shareholders with confidence that not only does AFC have a working technology but there are so many diverse markets that just one of our partners, ABB can focus on. We don’t need AB telling us constantly which direction they’re heading in. The RNSs provide this information to us without divulging sensitive details to our competitors to ensure we have early mover advantage.
Now you’re making no sense at all DW. ABB are defining in conjunction with AFC what the best configuration in order to take the EV charge forward. Similarly, the maritime joint venture will define how the shipping industry can redefine its propulsion engineering.
DW - totally irrelevant. As you well know, a company like ABB will not countenance tarnishing their reputation without full due diligence of AFC as a whole. Who are you to say whether the money invested is small? They are accountable to their own shareholders and cannot just throw money around unless justified by said due diligence. This to me speaks volumes about the quality of AFCs technology and the whole team within AFC that needs to deliver on that partnership. Stop attempting to target Bond, you really could get yourself into trouble.
Then DW is refer you to the subject of this thread and my earlier point that companies such as ABB would not touch AFC with a barge pole if AB was anything but capable of achieving their goals. For ABB to test the L Series and on the back of this accelerate the development of the SSeries speaks volumes about what AB and AFC have achieved in recent months. We now have a clear path to EV charging, maritime decarbonisation and off-grid diesel replacement to name 3 very important sectors where AFC will make an impact on climate change.
You would be best advised to listen to the likes of Alt-muddle as I have only seen factual and reasoned discussions so far by that poster.
DW - why would you block someone who has provided solid facts that AFC has delivered and. as you’re well aware, the drop in SP is in line with the hydrogen sector?
If AB is failing in his duties as CEO there is absolutely no way that a prestigious company such as ABB would be partnering with AFC let alone investing in the company.
You are more than aware of this and quite frankly, you have become more fanatical and slanderous about AB in recent weeks and your posting only goes to show that people should not be allowed to constantly make such comments on social media or bulletin boards like this. Free speech is one thing but attempting to bring companies into disrepute as you are clearly subtly attempting over many months should be monitored and investigated with appropriate action taken. Resources prevent this ever happening of course but each intelligent person on here should be able to see what you and other persistently vocals doomsters on this board are attacking a legitimate fledgling company that is attempting to clean up this dirty world.
The time has come for fossil fuels and their dirty lobbyists to retire humbly and move aside?
DW - you’ve been saying I’ve got rose tinted spectacles for years. All is I can say is your glasses must have the same amount of tint otherwise you’d have sold out years ago !
Yes, I’m frustrated but I’m fairly comfortable with what I see before me and don’t see the need to constantly bleat about lack of news or PR or resorting to insulting individual employees such as AB.
A true investor would not behave in this way in my humble opinion. Some of your research is useful and I thank you for this but the other side of you does not stack up I’m afraid.
DW - which country is paying you now to post your predictable negativity? :)
Brilliant post alt-muddle
Hi Superstarr - I would hope companies will be well ahead of the curve when it comes to diesel alternatives. They’ll have units to replace as they reach their end life and AFC (if they’re still in contention) will need a lead time to get our units out to replace. All very exciting to understand the opportunities we could have opening up in the coming months.
It’s like the Wild West here!
Suggest the real investors in AFC Energy take a break and let the bleating day traders fight it out amongst themselves.
A touch of deja vu here and, as day follows night, it’ll all change again when news arrives. Tedious beyond.
And poor that the author of the article didn’t mention that the electricity that supplied power to the cars and the race systems was generate by another British company, AFC Energy! The article would have been far more informative to its readers that the whole cycle from H2 generation to power generation is available right now!
Excellent, thanks Itsallbull. It’s reassuring to see that we’re in there with the multi-nationals and will have an opportunity to influence how the hydrogen economy will develop as well as the PR opportunities purely being a member of such an auspicious group!
Have a safe and Happy Christmas all.
As 2021 seems to have been a subtly pivotal year for AFC, let’s hope 2022 becomes a pivotal year for our investments!
Is AFC still a member of the Hydrogen Council?
Apologies if posted already…

Scarpa50 - totally agree and we’ve had many such discussions on this board over the years. A website is basically the shop window into AFCs products and their mission statement. They may not require additional customers right now however, potential customers down the line need to know what products will satisfy the different markets they serve.
I thought (as others have) that the end of year report was a bit confused in places and would be better written by someone with a marketing background. Simple is key and a well designed website will definitely serve them well now that we seem to have some key saleable products defined.
I suspect many people will again be researching AFC after this weekend’s ExE races and an up to date website would do them no harm whatsoever.
Please just stop responding to their posts!
Responding just makes it worse. You know their games. I’ve now filtered Aim for that very reason. They’re all in cahoots I’m convinced of it.
