Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
STP - personally whilst break even would be great I’d much rather see exponential growth on the top line and have us continue to invest in infrastructure to handle it - profitability will come with scale but as we’ve all seen from the recruitment drive publicised here we are still in ramp up phase and that needs to continue - as revenue builds with our high margins tipping point will come eventually.
Mobileye Global
Ivan Feinseth is also optimistic about Mobileye (MBLY), a rapidly growing provider of technology that powers advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and self-driving systems. Chip giant Intel still owns a majority of Mobileye shares.
Feinseth noted that Mobileye continues to see solid demand for its industry-leading technology. He expects the company to "increasingly benefit" from the growing adoption of ADAS technology by original equipment manufacturers.
The company is also at an advantage due to the rising demand in the auto industry for sophisticated camera systems and sensors used in ADAS and safe-driving systems. Furthermore, Feinseth sees opportunities for the company in the autonomous mobility as a service, or AMaaS, space.
Feinseth said there is potential for Mobileye's revenue to grow to over $17 billion by 2030, backed by the company's "significant R&D investments, first-mover advantage, and industry-leading product portfolio, combined with significant OEM relationships." He projects a potential total addressable market of nearly $500 billion by the end of the decade.
This is very much worth a listen as AS explains the various segments of QCs digital chassis and Snapdragon Ride. At various points you almost expect him to mention SEE ( which he doesn’t) as there are multiple references to the built- in mandated NCAP features. First 15mins is more about the historical tech changes in the auto industry but gets going after that.

I think the good news is that the Eyes On/ Hands Off phase will end up being a lot longer than they think and as you can see from the chart they recognise that for even this to work a DMS system is required. Now who do you think their main partner on that’s going to be ??
Been bugging me since yesterday but no mention on either Mobileyes website or Twitter feed yet of our collaboration.
Bit slow imho not getting a quote from Shashua on the deal and trying to figure out why either party would want it to be low key. Might just be the reason we’ve seen a muted reaction to what will in time be big news!
As a follow up to the poorly concluded financial summaries we have read today particularly pointing to the losses we are still making - please pass this on to the authors !!

Same bloomin’ stupid conclusion - most of us here could have done a better job than the idiot what wrote this - would it have been any trouble for the author to have thought a moment as to how companies can become unicorns without investing in capability and infrastructure to handle the huge pipeline of business coming their way. Losses didn’t seem to matter to Amazon or Tesla in their early days. Give me top line growth any day and the bottom one will look after itself with scale !
Whilst the majority of us are happy about todays news I think we all share the details ongoing frustration Terry articulated in his earlier post about needing to translate these collaborations into contracts but let’s just all stand back for a minute and applaud SEE for really playing a blinder in terms of putting these relationships in place. It’s clear to all of us by now that the industry is really slow in take up guessing that they don’t want to chop and change strategies in creating broader tech stacks to sit on open platforms. Yes they know legislation is. Owing but they are waiting as long as possible to commit. How astute therefore SEE have been in really placing a chip ( pardon the pun) on every roulette number which clearly when you list the names - Mobileye, Qualcomm, Magna, Ambarella …..gives us the best possible chance for the future and in my opinion could keep us independent for a while longer!
So if you think Fleet with Mobileye could be big take a look at this slide from their recent presentation redefining the L1-5 driving levels the industry has been used to. Eyes On/ Hands Off is the critical intermediary stage but as they note on their slide NEEDS DMS - now I wonder who that partner could be ???? - things getting exciting and that’s before any pipeline announcements !!!

Now you know why I’ve been bleating on about Mobileye over the last few months - their SP has doubled since they listed and it bugged me that they and the market were super bullish about their prospects - well now we know what might drive further joint growth - let’s hope it helps double OUR SP !!
