As posted earlier PCR and LFT are not in the same marketplace. I really doubt LFT news will impact as vaccine news doesn't now.

Vaccines, PCR and LFT all have a role, they are not fighting against eachother.

LFT is known about and is well documented as for its role. News tomorrow is baked in and probably won't be mentioned anymore than in any other briefing.

I think you are bang on there. Its a complete none event. NCYT are not in the LFT market therefore their LFT sales will not be impacted.

What matters to NCYT's share price is how much business NCYT do. How much they sell and demonstrating they can build year on year revenues longer term.

They fact is you only have to look at the Road Map and see that PCR testing is going to be ramped up despite mass LFT testing plans. People will have to have PCR tests increasingly alongside LFT in a number of settings.

PCR will become increasingly decentralised and that is exactly where NCYT are operating.

Despite GM's lack of forward guidance you only have to look at what Thermo Fisher, Roche, Abbott and Perking Elmer are forecasting for PCR testing this year, massive increases!

People know damn well a DHSC contract is at an advanced stage and about to be dealt behind the scenes. Then we have the 22 BILLION microbiology tender. This is a longer term agreement between reliable and respected parties.

How many billion may NCYT pick up of this ver 3 to 5 years to help build and supply the contract?

Is absolutely bang on. The more LFT the more PCR. People need to remember LFT's and bad test will prolng the pandemic and play into PCR's hands.

That said Novacyt is really treading a different path now. It's really looking to be central to decentralised testing, variant detection and to the governement plans of a diagnostic and microbiology network. That will be the corner stone of the NHS for years, well after Coivd but in screening patients for many other diseases, infections and illnesses.

Tin a nutshell that's why any LFT news really doesn't negatively affect us at all.

People need to see Novacyr for what it is becoming in the bigger picture not just selling PCR tests for Covid. Its the question all analysts wanted answering and now its being answered.

Whilst I'm full of support for the work he has done, he should use some of our hard earned to hire a real PR company and do the job he clearly is unable to do quote as well as his day job.

Its not good enough for GM to 'not worry about the SP movements'. He is managing the company we all own and its is his job to do look after his share holders interests.

Assigning brokers to run through the books with fair value targets of £14 and tank the SP with two absolute shockers of commentary in the Trading Update and today circa 40% is actually something he is accountable for and the whole saga was totally unavoidable.

Great posts again. Looks like Phase 2 or a renegotiated Phase 1b/2 combo is actively being discussed, hence the recent increase in staff. Really good detective work.

As analysts have previously said when either phase 1b (the extension) and furthermore phase 2 is activated the share priced will be forced to re rate and their notes point to £35/40 a share.

Personally I'm expecting a renegotiated deal bigger with more longevity, embedded deeper and central to not only UK variant detection but also a worldwide network.

...it seems obvious material new re DHSC contracts, newly written and significantly large than previously agree will land within the next 10 days.

Personally I think we will see the SPstart moving up tomorrow in anticipation.

Fact is unless the LFT's are reliable and have a high enough efficacy the public, companies and individuals, will vote with feet about using them.

No matter what Boris is pushing if they aren't good enough people won't trust them and refuse to use them. It's that simple.

The public and professional opinion of LFT's is shot to pieces, just like Boris' and Handjobs reputations. I can't see many listening to their expert advice and following their call to use the Sovereign LFT.

It's a 'nothing to see here moment' and will have no bearing on NCYT, as NCYT is moving down a completely avenue now, where LFT's are so far removed it's untrue.

Genomics, Bioinformatics and variant identification and surveillance it where NCYT is heading.

Anyone know ow how these Q machines can feed back info? They can obviously link to apps and results can be fed back on a PC so that I fo must be able to be fed back to a central location for data analysis I assume?

The sell quotes are massive...they definitely want your shares.

I think as much as the contract itself, it will be about the role NCYT is being brought in to fulfill and how they fully integrate into the UK strategy for diagnostic testing for many years to come.

Times are changing, this is the start of a new era in UK diagnostics.

I'm more and more convinced this is the direction of travel, probably extending into a Worldwide Genomic Surveillance Program, after all in in all out interests to k ow whats happening overseas to protect ourselves.

You only have to look at the clues so far and how from the outside it appears as if NCYT have attained a position of trust and our almost 'requested' to find and produce specific solutions for the British Governement. We've seen it several times now with Promate, NPT PCR solutions, Winterplex and SNPsig .

These cases have almost been like an interview process prior to getting the job.

GM says this is only the start of the journey and this is likely the reason why because the next step in a massive step change in terms of significance longevity, reputation and how the market can value us correctly with guaranteed forward revenues with the secure and longterm backed environment we are about to step into.

This all explains why GM won't commit to next years revenue forecasts or shout out too loudly about contracts won. The next and most important step in Novacyta journey is imminently upon us and when to is outlined ( probably before the 26th February).
