You can have it both ways as you make sure you have what you need and the rest is available for commercial sale. 100 per cent of ncyts output will not be for uk but we have first dibs and by getting that certainty of a government contract we are a stronger business that can expand our operations with limited risk to be both a key uk and global supplier.

Yes it HAS to be made in Britain. And there is a very good reason testing and medical supplies have to be manufactured in any home market. In times of national crisis(war, pandemic etc) governments can prevent export and seize goods they deem to be for national importance. If we were buying all this stuff from abroad and there was another global Pandemic we would be screwed of a foreign government took all the supply. Which has happened with PPE during this pandemic. The ONLY way to mitigate this and to make a diagnostics industry fit for purpose is to control the entire supply and procurement chain within your own borders.

This is a key piece of the jigsaw and is why the government are 10000 % going to install a permanent Diagnostics and testing infrastructure. They simply can’t afford to get caught with their pants down twice and will be kept funded until the next pandemic comes.

This stocks falls under the radar as the mkt makers refuse to make a proper kit so you have a huge spread to trade. Cowards. If you ignore that. Just look at the valuation eurorgagres sold a stake at last week versus this. When volumes recover next year this will double in price. Same buy and build strategy. Arguably the business is worth more in private equity hands and would not be surprised to see the founder and biggest shareholder approached by PE. Lever it up, build it up, flog it off.

Re valuation. Bloomberg consensus for this year is 17.1m and 2021 13.2m. It’s a pretty low bar to beat and I’m surprised they have not said again they expect to be ahead of this. The share price will be dependent on the outlook and how they communicate that wfh is here to stay and they have a recurring revenue stream now.

Either way when you look at this on ev ebitda basis it’s crazy. Cash flow positive growth stock trading in a depressed multiple. Mkt clearly has no confidence that the biz will hold the increased revs beyond this year. I think they do but it needs management to communicate that. They can do investor days, trading updates or even just signal by busing shares themselves.

Your base case should be Astra and Oxford land and is positive with high efficacy. Cos that’s what will happen.

You wait for fundamentals to kick in and news to be reported. everything you read says this is coming. Sit tight, stop marking your wealth to the market price minute by minute. That’s what you do.

Stop loses on a stock like this are just madness IMO. You are setting yourself up to fail. You know the fundamentals are solid and you know headlines on vaccines are likely. You are just giving professional market makers and investors an opportunity to pull your pants down take money from your pocket and put it in their own.
