RE: Sales figures?????3 Nov 2021 13:10
Some thoughts on that….
The rns yesterday made no mention of having to adjust overall guidance. It just said the impact of that one issue would be 3m. As such, as far as I am concerned the communicated guidance is still intact. Albeit that they would only need to update guidance if it was to differ to an extent that could be deemed material or have a material impact on Sp. 3 percent would not be classed as material.
I still believe 100m has to be beyond conservative given where they turned out at half year and the fact they had a totally unexpected boom in pcr for travel over the summer months. Everyone of the U.K. diagnostics providers apart from our glorious dip **** management made comment that July was a boom month that beat June due to travel reopening. Then august was even better than July. Needless to say, graham said **** all, but we will have benefitted from that.
Then, the 100m guidance was put out well before we started hitting 30-40k cases and 300-400k daily tests again in U.K. infact well well before. So we will benefit from that.
After the first half debacle I would assume when they put together the 100m guidance it was so water tight with huge headroom that not even their incompetence could see it not met. Surely?! Under promise and over deliver had to be the name of the game when the share price was being torched.
