I thought this was going to be a death spiral leading up to a sp of zero Sept next year when the bond notional repayment would fail to be paid, because there is no funding solution in this situation.

But IOG is not even going to see Christmas.

I did comment the liabilities didn;t include the 5mEUR. Apologies for not also pointing out that the assets are clearly worth much less than previously valued.

There's a market-maker's algo consistently offering at mid for about a week now, so while it was 182-185, the trades at mid (183.5p) were customer buys. They are quoting a maximum size of 5000 shares, but I suspect they have a lot more than that to sell.

And, when it was 180-185, there was even an offer at 181p (think that was yesterday though, you can go through my previous posts to find when that was if it matters) - so I suspect there's some trades that appear as sells that are actually customer buys.

What numbers are you looking at? The last balance sheet numbers I see are:

Total Assets: £206,499k

Total Liabilities: £203,908k (this doesn't include the additional €5m debt taken on last month)

Total Assets - Total Liabilities = 206,499k - 203,908k = £2.591million

I reckon it all makes sense in terms of these five stages:

1) shock and disbelief. "I don't understand"

2) denial. "This company will be worth hundreds of millions", "share price in weeks" and "muh shorts"

3) guilt. - sociopaths can skip this stage

4) anger and bargaining. - "they've successfully lost hundreds of millions already, those tax losses make it better than ever!"

5) depression, loneliness and reflection. - stop posting

6) reconstruction (or 'working through')

7) acceptance. - close you position at a big loss.

Most shareholders are only in stage 2 and stage 4 regarding what a bad state this company is in.

So, am happy to sit and wait as (I think) I'll be able to pick up more cheaper. 'course I am running the risk of a news update before that happen which is likely going to be good news (it which case I'll have to be happy with my existing holding).

That's an older (2001) IAEA report with a similar title.

It is interesting to be reminded of what their projection of now was 20 years ago though - the world has followed their "low use" scenario. I'd put that down to Fukushima.

It's due on the 29th Sept. If they fail to meet that and try to waive it further to Oct then it'll cost them a lot in money (last waiver cost €5million and this miss would be for two coupons rather than one) and I daresay it's cost the board any remaining respect that the boldholders held in them too. It would mean a third waiver and there would be calls for a three-strikes-and-your-out regarding their jobs.

They'll surely announce that they've paid the two coupons on the 29th Sept.

That might read as doom-mongering, but I don't expect them to not pay it on time, the cashflows mean they should be well able to pay this and remaining the coupons until maturity - by which time they'll need funding in place to pay of the notional (and I've given my unpopular opinion on how much that funding will cost them - the equivalent annual yield on the last waiver was ~120%).

It sounds like it is the plastic itself which is the very thing in the material fabric that means they don't disintegrate. So I very much expect ITX can synthesise an alternative to that plastic that retains the necessary properties but degrades sufficiently.

The coupon (which was a quarterly payment of the 9.5%+Euribor, which is somewhere between €3m and €4m) was waved from end of July (previous from June) to Sept - that's three a month delay (including the first delay). €5m was added to the notional to be paid Sept next year.

Try imaging borrowing 3.5 quid from somewhere. But to settle it you need to make repayments of 3.5 after 3months plus 5 more after 15months. Those are terms with an effective yield well in excess of 100% only taken by someone is a desperate situation. Yet that is the yield that lenders to this company obtained as there were no better options.

I immediately realise the 500% number is wrong, it's somewhere around 120%. Feel free to argue that financing at 10% is possible because of this if you must.
