I suspect this is some player taking part in the issue yesterday, and then today allocating the shares from one account (e.g a bank's own account) into another (a customer's account). And something about the allocation means that it needs reporting?

I GUESS this means IOG suspended yesterday because they want to choose their own Administrator (one that's friendly to the board's interests). Rather than wait for the weekend as that (failing to pay the deferred coupons today) would give the bondholders the right to choose the Administrator. (?)

Honestly, I'll start with a bit of research into how I can bet on gas prices in more "pure-play" manner (what UK brokers let retail customers trade ICE UK Natural Gas Futures ? ) .

It's disappointing to have been so confident in a European energy shortage and end up so much down on this which had looked like a great leveraged bet on energy prices. I have been long large amounts of U3O8 which cheers me up, but it's disappointing nonetheless.

There ought to be two pieces of news by then.

1. information about the half-year financials - previous announced that they'd be published yesterday. Aim Rule 18 requires these by Sunday.

2. Bond payment (the June and Sept coupons) is due on Friday. I expect news on that day regarding how much of the coupon has been paid (all/partial/nothing) and/or that discussions with bondholders are continuing.

To refresh everyone's minds regarding the latest info provided regarding the bondholders: the 13th Sept RNS:

"near-term solutions" only needed if there is a near-term problem. These €6.5m coupons payments in two days are near-term.

When (if?) it does get released, compare it's numbers with the unaudited numbers from the Half-Year Operational Update. A need to revise those numbers would be a valid reason for the delay.

7am is the usual time for the half-year earning release and sites like https://uk.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/IOG-PLC-14424335/calendar/ still expecting it tomorrow at 7am. We'll know by market-open if it's just some glitch that removed it from the IOG website, or a delay decided last week on the q.t. .

And some opinion: if they don't put out the half-year earnings, I'd expect some other update instead even though it's not that long since the last operational update.

OK, I think I was just disagreeing over the scope of the word "sensitive" then - if I may paraphrase the point I as I understand it: Material insider non-public information becomes public via RNSes.

Mostly true, but to say only RNSes provide information is a gross over simplification.

It's tedious to sift out the information from garbage which ranges from random speculation of what might happen to fantastical predictions of what will happen - but there is info that hasn't some from RNSes: gas pricing, analysis of cash flows, analysis of the bond terms, industry knowledge, updates to the IOG website and wider industry news are topics that immediately come to mind that have formed discussion on this board in the last couple of months alone.

When I saw that the date had been retracted from the website - I noted that nothing else on the site had updated. e.g. productivity of assets, and the bond waivers terms are not uploaded to the Bond Investors section.

It could be just a glitch of course on their website and they do still publish rosy results on the 26th that still visible on sites e.g. euronext and marketscreener. (That's a sentence I make to avoid being called always negative, now follows the negative stuff...) If they don't publish the results, it's either because they can't (which would be for textbook reasons of Accounting Issues/Audit Delays/Internal Control Problems/Operational Challenges/Regulatory or Compliance Issues/Material Events not yet properly accounted for/Intra-Board Disagreements) or because there is no point because they know they will be getting suspended from AIM anyways, or don't care if they are getting suspended because there is about to be a significant change in the ownership structure anyways.
