I think the rns was more directed to the funds,bit of a gun at head.If you don't come up with the cash then you'll lose your entire investment. Yes always looks a bit drastic but usually works.

Bonum,i disagee on a couple of points.Asfari is not a day trader,his investment decision was based on long term judgements. Secondly this idea that good news rns will dry up. North Sea sale is already public knowledge and anyone with a hostile bid isn't going to approach because it might send Asfari to jail-dream world!.

Well it must be one or other.If its human error then CFO not to blame but on the other hand PWC are saying that Convivialty would in this case be good for equity raise. We are going round in circles now.Still think this 10p stuff is paid de-ramping.

I'm optimistic too but "sharp drive upwards" lets not get carried away. Apart from the 300,000 awarded to him in September this is his first purchase since the big fall so its a really positive message.

Matt,agree with that but this start has been worse than usual. Law of averages usually suggest we will make it up later in the year but you cannot get away from the fact wages are not keeping up with inflation so non essential spending takes a hit. We have had a lot of stealth taxation ie council tax.

One thing i would say is this start to the year has been very slow.What i mean by that,people are short of disposable income.I don't believe the inflation figures or if they are correct they don't relate to vast bulk of the population hence pub ,resturant visits are down. Now the positives,on the pub trade long term contracts with discount pub chains like Wetherspoons must be good and the general trend for people to buy a few items instead of the weekly shop should be good for convenience stores,also as long as the � remains low against the Euro we should get another summer of Europeans holidaying in the UK and the staycation effect from UK residence.

Shrewd,yes it should be 520p plus but the overall market needs some upward direction. No good the funds coming in at 510p plus then find out the Dow is back to 23k and the ftse in the 6k's

Read that one too,would feel there is more upside in Brit's buying booze and other essentials from convenience stores than outsourcing at wafer thin margins from a Government still on an austerity track.

Read that yesterday "years to come",are they saying its going to take years to get back to those previous share prices,LOL. Hopefully when we get the news on an equity raise,i will treat it as a new start,as an outsider would look at it. Those bought at 107p will not be forgotten.

Matt,i was going by CVR rns dated 15th Dec 2017. "As at 8 April 2017, the unaudited book value of the business and assets being acquired as part of the Acquisition was �23.0 million (FY16: �15.9 million)."

Looking back at the figures the book cost on WS was �23m and it was a fire sale after the demise of P&H

Telegraph figs for raise �150m,so between them �50/100/150m looks like �100m. If Diana Hunter does go then i would think its because she wants to. Would also believe sky report that HMRC are happy with referral until RI has raised the cash. For an equity raise you do need a reason,whether it be for a purchase or to reduce debt.Sometimes i feel this whole mess has been fabricated,arithmetical errors and overlooking known payments.They do have an insatiable desire to buy things!.

I have only recently invested in cvr and was surprised by the number of past successful RI mentioned in the Times report.I would say its a RI then,whatever they do will require a speedy vote and a bridging loan for short term finance and to bring back some stability. Some encouraging words from Tim Martin,prehaps Wetherspoons are interested?.Matthew Clark have supplied for the last 20yrs,bit of a west country tie up there and Martin did point out yesterday that they have had good sales in particular of craft beers/ales,someone has been doing their marketing research ie Matthew Clark.

With speculation there is always some elements of truth. The truth has been out there for a while and they knew they coudn't get an equity raise away at 300p.Director buys at 300p early Feb suggested to me they were trying to do that. By the 8th of March they couldn't hide it any longer hence the rns late afternoon to drop the SP.On the 9th the director buys indicated expectations had been lowered enough and the �30m tax black hole was a sufficient excuse for the required suspension. At these prices investors are prepared to buy the equity raise. The only problem i see is whether we are going to have a chance in a RI or the institutions are going to carve it up in a placing.Either way if cvr does get its hands on �100m max its a going concern and after dilution the sp should rise hopefully back to Morans buy price. Lets hope its a RI.
